my guess is there is a bigger problem, the Short Sellers, who never get told to borrow the Stock by the SEC. They can short PM stocks and buy the metal all day, as a spread. Yet never get told to borrow the stock.
So we are battling a limit less supply of stock and because it is the PM’s no-one does anything.
