Equisetum @ 19:45 Well, Guess That Means On What Your Defintion of Retirement Is…

Posted by Farmboy @ 20:14 on October 19, 2014

I guess I am retired in that I no longer have a career, or steady job. Don’t mean I don’t work for a few extra dollars when I can. Mostly, I have learned to live a simple life these days. Aint much use me having a lot of money anyways as it seems I just give it away. My needs are simple and met.  And I thank the Lord above for that. One thing for sure, I aint counting on these paper games for one red cent.

I am enjoying life more than ever. I try to help some folks out when I can. I guess mostly I am just biding my time and enjoying the show. Except for trying to take care of my health, take my pills, take my vitamins, try to get some exercise in, I don’t reckon I take much else seriously these days. Well, along with trying to make the most of each day. I do a little more reading, of all sorts, more these days. I keep my eye open for a chance to help someone else with greater problems than my own. And I try to put as much fun and enjoyment into each day as I can pack.  As far as following the markets, I do just a little. Figure there are better ways to spend my time for the most part. (grin)

My job  of watching over my parents has come to an end. Done all I could. At present helping a friend out by running his business for him since he nearly cut his foot off a couple months back. That ought to end pretty much about the first of Novemeber. After that, I don’t have a clue what is next. Where I might end up. If ole Nemo gave that local barkeep a ten dollar bill, I might just show up to collect on my tab. 🙂

Life is good my friend, and I thank the banksters for their buying opportunity of the Precious. Actually kind feel a bit guilty  they helping us poor goldbugs buy at such bargin prices these days. But more than willing to take them up on their generosity.

Best to you and the Mrs this evening, Farmboy

Farmboy @ 19:19 I dont know if you are retired yet, but something I have noticed

situationroom

in retirement is that it is harder and harder to keep the in-baskets and out-baskets in order. Somedays it just seems too much. But we do one day at a time – waiting for the big reset.

and the beat goes on Sunday night

and on and on and on and on and on and on…

Gold down $2.70

Silver down $.04

It just never ends.

Equisetum, Yes, Our Posteriors Resting Comfortably In Those Tractor Seats,

Posted by Farmboy @ 19:19 on October 19, 2014

Surely we could take a few minutes to talk about the world, finances, some politics. And certainly about what our thoughts on gold and silver. Perhaps we could have done a little bartering. A silver eagle for a silver maple. Think those Canadian Maples are gorgeous. Much prettier than the US Silver Eagle.

And on a Sunday morning or afternoon, we mostly could have talked about old Tractors. Told a few jokes. Maybe worked in a farm story. Mostly, I would have liked to have you tell me more about that picnic, and the whales. Perhaps one day we will have the chance to warm those seats a little.

Grab a beverage and enjoy a Georgia sunset with me this evening, Best, Farmboy

Little brisk outside tonight, might want to put on a sweater. 🙂

Georgia Sunset

Ps) The setting sun is behind the large tree, barely make it out. What appears to be the sun to the right in the clouds is called a ‘sundog’. When the moisture and temps are right, it is like  a mirror reflection of the setting sun in the clouds. Kinda like two friends sitting on a bench. (grin)

After last week. This week should be even better.

Farmboy, regarding your comments at 11:13

Posted by Equisetum @ 18:58 on October 19, 2014

You mentioned that some morning we will wake up and things will be different in the currency world; that includes the precious metals world. I am swayed by the conclusions and predictions made by Middelkoop in the book linked below. Last weekend our son and I did a trade. We gave him our copy of Rickards “The death of money” and he left us with his copy of Middelkoop’s “The big reset; war on gold and the financial endgame.” I think we got the best of that trade. Rickards is heavy going as an informative read, but Middelkoop’s small paperback is a breeze to get through easily. And it has a very compelling conclusion – a conclusion that seems to have impressed Eric Sprott too, based on Sprott’s comment that “it would be in everyone’s interest to understand its conclusion”

Quite a few commentators, like Maquire, Sinclair, Turk, Willie, and a handful of others that Eric King gets on his site regularly, have made the point that something has to give fairly soon between the United States dollar and the Chinese currency in relation to gold backing and the valuation of physical gold. Middelkoop really helped me get a feeling for what a revaluation of a troy ounce of gold is going to be like. I think I’m going to like it.

Until we get to that moment of revaluation, I wish you the best for each day in front of us. If you had been sitting beside me on those bench-mounted cast iron tractor seats today, the paragraphs above and the book listed below are what I would have wanted to chat with you about. Cheers. Equiz.

Equisetum @ 10:49 Morning Ole Timer !

Posted by Farmboy @ 11:13 on October 19, 2014

Good to hear from you. Sure would be good to sit on your bench and have a talk. Guess we both have seen a lot of change during our lives. Seen a lot of crazy things in this world. But what we are going through now takes the cake I do believe.  Sure do have to tip my hat to those bankster fellas. Never did I think they could keep their silly paper games going this long. All kind of amazing if you ask me.

Someone told me the other day to “Wake up in the morning expecting great and wonderful things to happen that day!” Well, I expect to wake up some morning, soon, and find the value of our ounces is a little higher. Perhaps, shockingly higher. Just don’t know which morning that will be. In the mean time, I just try and enjoy, make the most, of each day. And right now, I am enjoying these brisk fall morning temperatures, the changing color of the leaves. Fact is, Im thinking about raking up a big pile of leaves for my afternoon nap. (grin)

Note To Admin : The ‘Add Media’ will let me open my pics, but when I try to insert them into my post I get a Error Http error message. Looks like you are making progress, keep at it. 🙂
