It’s amazing to me that Germany is still in good shape financially no matter how much Schwab and Merkel have tried to destroy them.

I’m expecting some fireworks tomorrow.

The problem is that people don’t know enough about the governments failure to manage a economy or a budget and misusing the printing press and the consequences of inflation. People also do not want the discomfort it would cause to fix it.

If we got another currency it wouldn’t make a difference if they could print it too. People can’t get together or back others if they or others don’t have the right answers themselves. Then it would have to be one that doesn’t just benefit them. There is one of the answers, stop the bleeding. Stop spending, borrowing , and printing.
We know with this irresponsible administration that’s not going to happen. All they’re going to do is raise the taxes and interest rates and make the already inflated costs even more expensive. The irony is much of it isn’t even going back to us either.
If we give them a dollar how much do we get back? Milton said 80 cents back then. That was then, it’s even less now. Milton makes economics come to life. I’ve been watching a lot of his videos lately. Inflation isn’t a capitalist problem or a communist problem it’s a printing press problem. Now complicated by interfering with free trade and causing oil restrictions amongst other things like open borders which creates over population and more special interest groups that shouldn’t even be involved in our politics anymore that we theirs.
That creates more complications with once common interests despite diversity in culture previously leading to further division and interferes with competitive pricing due to tighter supply’s and higher demand.

With the current administration things are just going to get worse.

Milton Friedman Speaks: Money and Inflation (B1230) – Full Video

Inflation is blamed on many things. But it has only one cause: It is a monetary phenomenon. Inflation occurs when the quantity of money increases faster than the quantity of goods. Why does the money supply increase? Very often, it does so to enable the government to pay its bills without raising taxes. There’s only one real cure for inflation. It is a cure that’s easy to describe but difficult to apply: The government must reduce spending and print less money. The alternatives are both recession and double-digit inflation. Recorded at University of San Diego & San Diego Chamber of Commerce ©1978 / 1:26:03.

Milton Friedman Speaks: The Role of Government in a Free Society (B1228) – Full Video

John Stuart Mill said, in effect, that self-protection is the only legitimate reason for people to interfere with the freedom of others. If we are to define the role of government in a free society, we must first specify what we mean by self-protection. Defense from foreign enemies and protection of property, including the enforcement of private contracts, are clearly legitimate functions of government. But when we come to two other functions of government–providing a substitute for voluntary cooperation when it appears impossible to achieve, and providing for irresponsible individuals–the justification is much less clear-cut, because in a free society people should be able to take risks but should not be able to force others to pay the consequences. If the proper limitations of government action were observed, the government would not do many things it now does. We should not resort to government regulations until we have adequately explored the possibilities for coordinating our activities through voluntary means. If we understood the implications of our own values, we would not allow ourselves to be “front men” for values we oppose, merely because we are confused about the meaning of freedom and the legitimate role of government in a free society. WHY NOT ?

Pay a higher interest rate on savings deposits like CD’s   and not on DEBT !  They do it backwards  ! The Banks would be flush with cash looking to make good loans ….The DEBT would disappear  !The asset would accrue to the depositor and relieve the inflation demands placed on them.PUT EVERYTHING FINANCIAL IN REVERSE and we could have an asset based economy instead of a DEBT based economy..The individual would be looking to make investments instead of the Banks. The people would grow rich and we wouldent need so many Banks ..they could shrink in number ….they are parasites ..they produce nothing useful ..only debt..Better the people have money to lend instead of Banks ..They could lend to the BANK in the form of a CD..The people own the asset ,not the BANK !The Banks are like useless eaters ,they produce nothing of value the less need of them the better .

The producers should be the lenders from their surpluses …not the Banks that need the public to  get into ever increasing debt to service current debt.Enough already  !

Hi, don’t mind me, I just have a habit of giving people food for thought or for consideration. When you posted the photos, you gave me food for thought. So I thought and responded. I’m not necessarily right. Think about what happened to the whole human race. Covid, and not one activist group calling for banning or bombing virus labs. Geez they polluted the air in the whole free world.

I do love animals and do have sympathy for the unfortunate ones that have bad luck and swim or walk into the wrong place at the wrong time. Pretty much the same with humans. Disease, accidents, mass shootings etc.  A percentage of them have an ugly medical condition or ugly death.

I myself would like to see an activist groups fighting for US independence. Or one for an honest stable value currency.  I’d join and recruit others in a NY minute, but there are none at all. Maybe the gov’t media itself created all the existing activist groups to keep them busy distracted and away from independence movements. Like an American separatists group? LOL.

I’m not going to try to talk you into becoming a activist or sympathy for sea life or even getting into our water. Nor argue point there is a issue with human pollution threatening sea life and dumping should be illegal whether you see it where you are or not. Who’s not to say that dumping couldn’t cause propellers on boats to get tangled up next.
Who’s to say you won’t walk into the ocean and get your foot all cut up and need sutures like I did because some idiot threw a broken bottle in the water or dumped off a boat and washed ashore.

Milton Friedman mentioned something funny about coal back when. Someone wrote a book on it concerning coal was not infinite looking for alternatives not having much hope oil could help lower demand. Now it’s reversed to coal helping demand on oil.
About inflation, it’s not okay anyway you look at it. It only means government is over spending past its budget and expects us to pay for it.

@goldilocks re Pacific garbage patch, garbage dumps, land fills, plastic etc.

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 14:05 on June 11, 2022

Lets think positive. At least the ocean corrals (gather together and confine (a group of people or things) the crap to a central location. The pacific mud room. Maybe some day it will be profitable to harvest it and use it to burn and generate electric. Or melt it down to plastic ingots. And use less oil to make plastic. Recycle it. The middle of the ocean is no mans land like the middle of a desert or middle of Australia. Nobody lives there. Oh and the film with the plastic fragments? They were still visible, didn’t dissolve, its like they are indestructible

Garbage dumps and land fills must be every 50 miles. There are a few on long island. They are natural and needed. Years ago when I was a kid, we didn’t have garbage men. Everybody had an old steel barrel in the back yard and we burned all the garbage. After a while all we had left was metal and glass, and we would dig a hole in the yard and bury it. It all came from the ground and goes back into the ground. Everything comes from the ground. Except asteroids meteors etc. But they also hit the ground.

Everything re garbage dumps is natural practical and needed, but you don’t want to live near one, they stink as you drive by them too.  Evidently there is lots of money being made “fighting” “testing” “filming” “reporting” about various pollution. They will never stop, and nothing will change, no matter how many increasing millions of people get angry each day and tell others about it.

Zero results, more angry people, more money for the “leaders” of the war on pollution. People are living older longer than ever, into their 90s and 100s, so whats the problem? Whats the objectives? Banning land fills, banning ships from dumping garbage in the middle of the ocean with no witnesses to report it to enforcement? What would you want and what would make you happy?

Lets not forget the fossil fuel hater religion. Fossil fuels have raised living standards enormously. The only problem is too much of it is wasted on frivolous promiscuous vacation and business travel, because airfares are held down for years artificially too cheap. Causing too much demand. Round trip ticking NY to LA should be $4000. NOT $400 to $600 its a JOKE. Air travel is something that you normally did once every 10 years., if that.

Also fossil fuel wasted on globalization, long distance delivery of mathematically cheap consumer products. Shipping a “screwdriver” or “coffee mugs” across oceans and continents is stupid impractical and wasteful, unless they are profiting from it.

Its time to be happy because all the artificially rigged prices are trying to right themselves back to reality. Versus the “managed” economy of the past. That is falling apart. My guess is higher or organic, or natural gas and diesel prices will help raise cheap airfares and cheap shipping.   Might make people work closer to home. For decades I worked within a half mile.

I wonder if wood and coal burning stoves will come back. I had one in my garage work shop, I used to burn cannel coal or particle board pieces from a factory near by. Made a nice blue flame.

HUI still below the 50 dma @ around 266, and then the 200 dma up around 281. Seems to me we can get there.

I’m excited for Monday, maybe it will be a turning point of some sort.

Doctors Suing Food And Drug Administration Over Ivermectin

A Washington law firm has filed a federal lawsuit against the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for interfering with the use of ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19.

The lawsuit was filed by Boyden Gray & Associates on behalf of three doctors who were disciplined for prescribing human-grade ivermectin to patients.

The firm’s founder, attorney Boyden Gray, is a former legal adviser to the Reagan and Bush administrations.

Gray told The Epoch Times that the FDA had violated well-established law that allows doctors to prescribe an FDA-approved drug as an off-label treatment.

Ivermectin was no different, he said. It was approved by the FDA in 1966.

“Congress recognized the importance of letting doctors be doctors and expressly prohibited the FDA from interfering with the practice of medicine,” Gray said.

“That is exactly what the FDA has done time and time again throughout this pandemic, assuming authority it doesn’t have and trying to insert itself in the medical decisions of Americans everywhere.”
