Loading ...Show off lol I thought about that to get plants that ripened during the different seasons of the year but never thought about avocados and didn’t know there was differerent ripening telimes for them. Yes that’s the problem with avocado trees is they can’t handle frost I’ve heard. My mom had one in Sylmar Ca after they moved from the coast. She grew it from a seed she had on a tooth pick in a glass half in water half out. After it rooted she planted it in the front yard and it grew to a tree. Unfortunately the earthquake hit before it grew old enough to produce avocados and the house totaled. Frost may have got to it eventually. I wonder if you could grow them under some kind of cover if they would survive. Also wondered if they made dwarf trees you could protect from frost one by having them under cover.
