I don’t have a dog in this fight ( medicare /supplemental)  but, I do think about it. Look, were I a younger man then I would take a catastrophic plan and pay only cash, for a discount, on regular doctor services. But, but, but …what about the IRS penalties? Simple, you could drive a Mack truck thru the exemption penalty loopholes. Gee, mandatory Ins is against my beliefs and religion  ..Oh, I just became a Muslim and Oh, I’m now a hardship case..etc, etc
