iphone metals
Mining your iPhone: Recycling iPhones yields gold, silver, platinum, and more (infographic)
That iPhone in your hand isn’t just a complex piece of electronics. It’s also a gold mine — quite literally. And a platinum mine, silver mine, copper mine … you get the picture.
911 Metallurgist, which helps mines and recyclers extract precious metals from ore and, apparently, phones, has exhaustively checked the iPhones and other mobile devices. Each iPhone 5, for instance, contains $1.58 of gold, $.36 of silver, $.05 of platinum, and $.12 of copper.
Those numbers may sound small, but the phone holds from six to 300 times more precious metal than the equivalent amount of ore from a mine.
(Is that 50,000 ounces per month ?…….of Silver ?) 10mil phones per month
Silver consumer Industry
Does that include APPLE ? are their millions of Phones the reason Silver is being held Hostage ? Do they have a deal on cheap Silver ? Do their Phones contain Silver? Inquireing minds want to know ! Lots of talk about Gorilla Glass and Saphire Glass ..not a word about Silver !
Silverngold regarding gmail WAKE UP!
if you read the fineprint when you get a gmail account it says that google has your full permission to read all of your email before you even get it and everything you do through your gmail account email or not is owned by google. Notice that if you have an android phone that it barely works without a google “gmail” account. I assume you live in the USSA where “we” don’t care if “we” have internet privacy or any privacy whatsoever on our “smart” phones. A gmail account has zero privacy, it is totally owned by google corporation.
Happy wife

eeos @ 21:36 You Ever See A Ten Second Knockout…..?
Course, Putin could decide to play with him awhile. But it aint going more than the first round. Not because Putin would finish him off, but Obama’s ego couldn’t handle being man handled like that. 🙂 Now to make it interesting, think Obama should be paired up with the little girl with the lemonade stand being told she didn’t ‘build that’. Bet she would put a good old fashioned butt kicking on him. Yep, my money on the gal.
I want to pay
to see Putin fight Obama in a boxing ring. you know Barry would get his azz whooped
redneckokie1 @ 21:25 Dont Know A Thing About It…..

Buygold @ 21:18 Life is Funny
I said I would bet on Putin. Fought against his team too long, but I am telling you tonight if Putin and Obama were in the same room, I would turn my back to Obama and (gulp) salute Putin for I respect the former head of the KGB more. Kinda sez it all for me. I probably should not be allowed to be alone in the same room with either one of them. LOL
Ps) That’s my ego talking again, but at least Putin would make it interesting. 🙂
Farmboy, commish
Farmboy – no I really never did. Right now I’m pulling for Putin. The more I learn about him the more I like him compared to what we have here. Most of my old mates disagree but they don’t have the time I do to listen to what the man has to say.
commish – I guess I view them all the same. They all think China and Russia are going to defeat the USD and save pm’s. Nothing they’ve done to this point tells me they can defeat the west at the paper game, at least not anytime soon.
Buygold – I thought Holter is rather tame
As compared to the ones who really swing for the fences. Jim Willie and Gerald Celente.
commish
“interesting” Yes I think so too. Hopefully interesting in our favor. (favour for the spelling impaired)
Buygold @ 20:29 Did Ya Ever Think You Would Switch Sides?
If someone would ask me, do you believe in the current administration residing in the White House or Communist China….well, this may sound unpatriotic, but I believe a heck of a lot more in what the Chinese say and do. Sad state of affairs, this Country.
And when it comes to what side I would bet on, the anemic wishy washing lips of Obama or Putin ? Well I will go with the Ex KGB chief any day of the week. A spineless Community Organizer from Chicago Vs a hardened Intelligence Chief…..this aint gonna be no match.
Such is the state of my Country, a laughing stock. Thank you Obama and Rhinos.
Ps) and if anyone has the ‘goods’ on the Central Banksters, and willing to use it to destroy them, Putin would fit the job description.
Holter – could be a hero if he’s right. What will he say if he’s wrong about December? What then?
Too many predictions that have been wrong for too many years. Holter cries wolf all the time, as did David Morgan and Frank Holmes today. Eventually they’ll have to be right or they’ll help to destroy the entire sector. Sorry for the negativity but c’mon man!
Holter snip:
“You can say what you want, say “it’ll never happen” or whatever. The chess pieces are on the table and our “opponent” is not in this for bragging rights or loose change, they are in it for all the marbles! China is our biggest banker and supplier of capital, our biggest supplier of consumer goods, they have been the biggest hoarder of gold and I hypothesize the “mystery owner” of huge positions in Dec. silver. Every move they have publicly made for over 2 years has been dollar negative and yuan/trade positive. They have built cities, infrastructure, plant and equipment which is clearly beyond current needs for capacity. China has done deals with our friends and foes alike, they have supported geopolitically nearly anything and everything contrary to public U.S. views and policy. They are supporting Mr. Putin financially while the U.S. tries in vain to punish him financially. Would, could, the U.S. place “sanctions” on China for breaking the “sanctions” on Russia? I know, that was a bad joke but it’s a real question.
Before finishing let’s not forget about the “cherry on top”, did China just dump the largest IPO in U.S. history at the top of the market? A market, financial system and economy that I believe they are now in a position to destroy at the flip of a switch and the timing of their desire? Like I said, laugh at this, laugh at me, do whatever you’d like, all I am doing is pointing out the very obvious. No country or nation should or would ever put their adversary in a position to destroy them, we have allowed it and even encouraged it. We are broke, we depend on our adversary for funding, trade, we have given them all of our real money, what’s next? Trading them Manhattan for a few trinkets? The danger to their plan in my opinion is this, just as it is dangerous to corner a wild animal it is more dangerous to bankrupt and financially corner a nuclear power. Regards, Bill Holter, Miles Franklin Associate writer”
commish @ 19:32
December’s coming soon enough. I hope Bill’s theories pan out.
Richard640 @ 14:53 re on gold today
re parts
nearly every single bit of gold purchased in GLD at the initial implementation of QE has been SOLD.
They have been selling their holdings and buying equities
They have been selling their holdings and buying equities and look to continue doing that unless there is some sort of strong catalyst that changes the equation and thus the prevailing sentiment.
Comment:
For every sale there is a buy. Where the hell did all that gold go? Who bought it all out on the way down?
Did too many big GLD share holders who are entitled to redeem shares of GLD, for physical Gold like banks, take delivery?
And that “strong catalyst” that changes the equation would probably be the dollar being dropped to re-stimulate the US producers and exporters.
Every body, every country, every sector, all get a turn at pain and punishment. Equality, shareing ya know.
Chinese Checkmate
This is a great read by Bill Holter posted today. I do agree with him. If some trader wants to commit fraud on the SGE he will be dealt with by the authorities a lot differently than here in the U.S. Also talks about the relationship between the U.S. and China.
