Sorry to hear about the back. My sister-in-law is a physical therapist and takes good care of me. Some people use chiropractors, some use osteopaths, I graduated to physical therapist. If you can’t get relief from your traditional methods, give them a try.

That’s fascinating.  I realized that many people need, or at least prefer, near-constant stimulation (TV’s in virtually every waiting room, for instance), but the notion that they would accept physical pain after only fifteen minutes of their own thoughts.  Wow.  My time limit is considerably longer.  Of course, I talk to myself a lot.  Does that count? 😉

I suffered and still do from back pain. Beyond my belief, such pain as to cause me to fall to the floor, almost passed out. Crawling in pain just to urinate, and putting that off as long as I could. In NJ today their are multiple advertisements of new generation machines that target/stretch the problem areas based on MRI’s and Cat scans. Best to You…GOD Speed!

Farmboy re $70,000 Pick Up Truck

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 21:43 on September 2, 2014

Copy that Farmboy. I know about those type prices. Common. For fully loaded with SUVs with leather, you’re going to pay high. Most probably take the payment book. For 48 months. So they don’t feel it.

I was thinking about buying this Tahoe, link below, about half the new price. The best deal I’ve seen. Lowest miles. Many ask the same price with much higher miles.

“People would rather be doing something, even if that’s hurting themselves, rather than doing nothing or being alone with their thoughts. Simply being alone with their own thoughts for 15 minutes was apparently so adverse that it drove participants to self administer an electric shock that they had earlier said they would pay to avoid.. Mr.Copper @ 21:00 on Friend of Mine, Bought a New Diesel, Four Wheel Drive Truck….

Posted by Farmboy @ 21:17 on September 2, 2014

He is retiring from ATT in about 2 more years and is going to need more than his retirement to make it. Big mansion, acres, pool, and two kids in college. He paid….get this…..$70,000 dollars for a pick em truck. He has started a landscape business and is working 80-90 hours a week between the two jobs to make it all meet. Told him I would thing about taking up bank robbery, before paying that much for a  Pick Up Truck. But that seems to be the going price today. Geesh….I have bought a home for less !!

Uncock your pistols there cowboy! I said “when you felt right.” 🙂

My back got messed up from high school football and construction work, but the yoga helps immeasurably.

commish @ 19:20 re 1 in 3 cars loans are late or not being paid.

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 21:00 on September 2, 2014

That’s no surprise to me. I read that they now have sub prime loans for car buyers. In my area I see loads of very new cars all around me. Everybody and their uncle must have bought a new car in the last 3-5 years.

It must be 75% to 90% newer cars out there. Another thing I noticed. A VERY VERY big increase of American tagged cars on the road. Dodges, Chryslers, Fords, Buicks, Chevys, Jeeps etc. And another thing. HUGE V-8 four wheel drive American pick up trucks and vans.

It looks like a lot more people don’t care about gas mileage anymore. They all must have gotten used to $4/gallon? Or they all got tired of driving those crappy tiny under powered Jap and Korean gas saver cars. They all look the same. They are like appliances. Or Bic lighters. Crappy image cars.

Also, many people with plenty of money, know they can’t take it with them to the happy hunting grounds.

Anybody else out there notice all those huge Suburbans, Tahoes, Yukons Lincoln Navigators out there?? I also noticed lately HUGE Honda and Nissan SUVs.

And Where Is TEO ? ( The Evil One)

Now you would think even her…..would hate to see her number one Frog in pain and suffering. My legs are like jelly, my back is aching, and you would think she would swoop down and either fix me, or kill me. Don’t really make much difference to me. 🙂

Which, I presume, like some kinda angel, she is just up there watching, and laughing her butt off.

🙂 God, you cant help but love her.

had a friend, who was trying to help, call a few minutes ago. God Bless em. But he started out telling me all about these stretching exercises……..and Im thinking….about the only thing I want to stretch at the moment is his dang neck!!

I hard a rough time, musta took ten minutes just to get my shoes tied this morning. And to tell ya the truth, I finally quit trying. I took those shoes off my feet, tied em loosely, and then eventually wiggled my feet into em.

Tell ya what, when I can stand up straight again, and I aint in too much pain, you can tell me all about this yoga stuff. Fair enough? Otherwise, Im just gonna have to kill you. 🙂

Mr.GoldBug @ 20:07 Now, Just So Happens, There Is An Ice Machine….

Posted by Farmboy @ 20:36 on September 2, 2014

Now had you and Wanka told me that earlier…..while I was crawling on all fours to get me something to drink….I could have snagged self a bag of ice. Found some garbage bags, and in a few minutes will see if I can make that journey again. Nothing else seems to be helping much, so willing to crawl into the ice machine for the night if can find some relief.

Appreciate it, Farmboy, who is still licking his pride over having to ask a young kid to load a full propane tank into the back of my truck today. But the boy was kind to an old man. Guess he seen my pain on my face and offered to load it for me. Still, an embarrassing moment for me. Is this my future…..having to ask folks to do things for me? Don’t reckon I will handle it well.

and get her to sing a song with me, I am pretty sure my back aint gonna hurt so much. But I got to tell you, for future reference.  don’t send that video to anyone with back pain. just watching that boy jerk his head around was enough to start a whole new set of spasms down my back

Course, Im guessing you knew it would. All is fair in love and war during footbsll season !

I just dealt with a bad back / Muscles .. Ice is good! …I once pulled some muscles in my neck/shoulder area … i thought i was doing well putting heat, it brought temporary relief, but after ending up at the doctor, He said no heat at all for the first 48/72 hours.

he said while temporary relief, i was only inflaming the muscles .. (kinda like when posters respond to TA/Day traders comments) only inflames the situation.

ICE is your friend, I had shooting pain that was unbearable !! .. muscle relaxers and pain meds did nothing!

I would ice it till the pain went away, then repeat .. be careful not to burn your skin with a direct ice pack.

hope you feel better, Mr.Bug

Turmeric is wonderful stuff

Great on sandwiches, eggs, baked potatoes, burritos, tacos …. I’m researching giving it to my dogs.

Farmboy … if I don’t do my yoga for 3 or 4 days I feel 10 years older … although that is a before the injury kind of thing. Look into it when you’re feeling right.

Mr.Copper – US Consumer hoarding money

Posted by commish @ 19:20 on September 2, 2014

I guess that is why 1 in 3 cars loans are late or not being paid. People don’t want to depart with $200 to attend a college foot game rather stay home and watch it on TV.

Aren’t going out to eat.

Actually was sitting here staring up at the ceiling in the warehouse. There is this huge metal beam about 20 something feet up in the air. I have a forklift and logging chain. Was thinking…..could hang upside down on the beam for a bit. But then, who the hell is goann get me down? lol

You know, I used to live with a gal that did massage, professional sports stuff. she learned me a thing or two. I was reaching the best I could behind my back. Found a knotted bunch of muscles about 3/4 down my back. Going to try to find a tennis ball, or something, to press against the knot of muscles. Don’t pay no mind to some idiot screaming his head off in awhile. (grin)

Soon as I get this back thing fixed, I will entertain the thoughts of those twenty somethings. 🙂

Yeah Ment, Moggy Could Fix Me Right Up….

Actually use a lot of Tur…whatever you said in my cooking. That and Cumin, although I learned a little trick just last week. Buy the Cumin seeds and crush em up. Much more flavor than the store bought spices. Asked the fella where he found Cumin seeds…sez he orders them on line from Texas.

Mr.Copper @ 18:10 Thanks !

Posted by Farmboy @ 18:46 on September 2, 2014

Soon as I think I am able, gonna see if I can use a little mind over matter to get to the ice machine. Trouble is….that damn back aint listening to a thing I tell it. (lol) Dang, it just wont let up for more than a minute. And when it decides to ‘kick’, nearly takes my breath away. Guess I will just have to show it who is boss. (grin)

Have not had back issues in years. Never thought about stress as contributing factor. Figured I was paying for showing off this weekend. Well…not really showing off, just wanted the rest of the crew to know I could hold my own and then some. Even thinking about checking in to a nearby hotel that has a hot tub/Jacuzzi. Thought that might help, but ole Wanka sez an ice dip is better?? I’m thinking….next time it acts up, just find me someone to take a baseball bat and beat the heck out of it. Cant see it hurtin more than this.

try Turmeric Curcumin 1000 mg

is a good pain relief,, and kills a lot of bad stuff in the body.. google it and get the low down//

actually better than advil and other over the counter pain medications

as Turmeric does not harm the liver , kidneys , and the lining of the stomach as over the counter pain pills will.. Seems to take a week for the turmeric to really start working ,,

Part: “Fed: US consumers have decided to ‘hoard money’”

Comment:

These people must have a very bad memory. After the stock market crash of the March 2000 dot com peak. (5000 naz to 1,000) THEN the Sept 2001 attack, the Fed bozos dropped rates hard and fast creating an over spending situation.

Cash for clunkers etc. People in every village and town was encouraged to buy things they did not even need YET. New windows, heating units, siding, solar panels, TV sets on and on.

Nobody needs anything anymore. They kept everybody in an over bought mode. This is why they want higher minimum wages for non union entry level private sector humps. At least THEY have unmet needs. But even many of them got liar loans and got the needs and wants.

Its time for the USA population to get a rest. 20 hour work week.
