Biotech study claims GMOs completely safe for mammals – study took place over the course of just three months

(NaturalNews) A new study published in the journal Archives of Toxicology makes the audacious claim that MON810 biotech corn, a genetically-modified (GM) cash crop owned by Monsanto, exhibits no toxicological effects in mammals. But the study has several major flaws that render it null, including the fact that data appears to have been intentionally removed to make the corn appear safer than it actually is.

According to Testbiotech, the study took place over the course of just three months, which isn’t nearly long enough to make a proper assessment about the safety of a synthetic organism. Additionally, the study failed to eventry to discover a dose threshold at which MON810 might pose health problems, a basic data point that any legitimate study on the matter would have included.

Archives of Toxicology Editor-in-Chief co-authored BPA review with employee of BPA manufacturer

Another major issue is the journal in which the study was published, which has major conflicts of interest with the biotech industry. The journal’s Editor-in-Chief Jan Hengstler was caught back in 2011 writing a review on the plastics chemical bisphenol-A (BPA), which like the MON810 study found it to be safe. The only problem is Hengstler’s review was co-authored by an employee from Bayer AG, a leading BPA manufacturer.

Likewise, the authors of the MON810 study also have questionable ties to the biotech industry. One of them works for a biotech consultancy firm with a vested interest in promoting GMO technologies, while another works in the agricultural genomics department of a major university. There are also co-authors who work for plant biotechnology research organizations.

“…the failure in this study to determine a concentration of MON810 at which there were no observable toxic effects makes the entire study more or less invalid,” explains Testbiotech. “Testbiotech also criticizes the authors (who) purposely published the results of the study in a scientific journal with close affiliation to industry.”

European Commission used taxpayer dollars to fund bogus GMO study

The purpose of the study, of course, was to provide further “evidence” that GMOs are safe in order to push them in Europe, where the general population is much more skeptical about biotechnology. But it was funded by the European Commission using public money, meaning taxpayers ultimately foot the bill for this atrocious, pro-industry junk science.

As it turns out, Hermann Bolt, the deputy Editor-in-Chief at Archives of Toxicology, also has ties to the biotech industry. And the lead author of the larger GRACE study, under which the MON810 feeding trials were conducted, has collaborations with industry-funded groups like the International Life Science Institute (ILSI) as well [4].

“We are shocked by the outcome of our own evaluation,” stated Christoph Then fromTestbiotech about what his group discovered. “According to the EU Commission, the outcome of these feeding studies will be decisive for future standards of risk assessment for genetically engineered plants in the EU.”

“Now, it looks as though the outcome was manipulated to eradicate doubts concerning the safety of these products.”

Testbiotech is calling for the immediate retraction of the MON810 study, with possible republication only in the event that a rigorous peer review is conducted.

“If toxicological studies are publicly funded we must demand the highest standards in scientific quality and in the avoidance of conflicts of interest,” added Then. “This is not the case with this project. This case shows that the mechanisms for securing quality scientific work are not functioning.”

Deal gives Russia greater control over Abkhazia

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia further tightened its control over Georgia’s breakaway province of Abkhazia on Monday with a new treaty envisaging closer military and economic ties, a move that has drawn outrage in Georgia.

Under the treaty signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Abkhazia’s leader, Russian and Abkhazian forces will come under joint command.

While the Russian troops have been deployed in Abkhazia for more than two decades since it broke away from Georgian in a separatist war in the early 1990s, the agreement reflected an attempt by Moscow to further expand its presence in the lush Black Sea region of 240,000.

Coming amid a chill in Russia-West ties over the Ukrainian crisis, the deal raises further suspicions about Moscow’s intentions. The Georgian Foreign Ministry has denounced the new agreement as a “step toward annexation” of Abkhazia and warned it jeopardize efforts to normalize ties with Russia.

Ukraine Central Bank Admits Gold Outflow, Calls It “Optimization Of Reserve Structure”

Tyler Durden’s pictureSubmitted by Tyler Durden on 11/24/2014 10:16 -0500

A week after we reported that the head of the Ukraine central bank admitted in an unofficial, informal interview that Ukraine’s gold is gone, all gone, moments ago the Central Bank revealed that, sure enough, the gold holdings in the civil war-torn country have tumbled, as a result of a decision in September to “increase the share of US dollars in a reserve basket”, or in other words, to sell the gold. Just don’t call it that: in fact, as of today we have a brand new buzzword for gold liquidations: “optimization of international reserves.”

From the central bank:

National Bank of Ukraine has optimized the structure of international reserves. This is due to timing structure of international reserves and the external position of the country. National Bank of Ukraine decided in September 2014 to increase the share of US dollar in a reserve basket, because the structure of the trade balance of the country is 70.3% in US dollars, 15% in euros. 77.7% of gross foreign debt denominated in Ukraine USD in EUR – 11.2% in SDR – 5.8%.

Recently, there was a significant volatility in global currency markets associated with the strengthening of the US dollar against other world currencies. Therefore, the National Bank of Ukraine decided to reduce the share of gold in foreign exchange reserves to 8%. To this end, the international markets has sold 0.46 million. Troy ounces of gold in US dollars, respectively proportion of gold in international reserves declined to 7.9%.

According to the IMF, the proportion of gold in global reserves at an average of 11.7%, while international reserves of developing countries, the proportion of gold in an average of 4.4%.

So Ukraine’s central bank decided to conver its gold into dollars just as the USD has been surging to levels not seen in years? Just who says central bankers are bad traders. Furthermore, while one assumes this is the asset update as of the end of October, we can’t wait to learn just what happened in the first days of November when the Valeria Gontareva interview took place.

And while the fate of the Swiss gold referendum may lie in the hands of the Zurich subsidiary of Diebold, perhaps it is time for Ukraine’s population to ask its “elected” rulers just where Ukraine’s gold has gone, pardon, been “optimized” to.

On November 17th you asked for just one picture of the chemtrail apparatus used for the spraying.  I responded with the following post to which you did not respond. I have a few angry remarks that I began this post with but the post went into cyberspace, which is just as well. We’re supposed to be on the same team, not making smartassed remarks to each other. I hope you will have the courtesy this time to respond to my previous post shown below. All The Best…… Silverngold

eeos @ 16:01 Research it yourself!!

Posted by silverngold @ 17:43 on November 17, 2014   -edit-

I’ve seen pictures of military planes equipped with rows of tanks and spray nozzles, and also read that they now have technology to put it into fuels, but I don’t save any of this stuff or my PC would be bogged down with it. Here’s a few and also further digging refutes them which is to be expected in a covert operation.

Since the US military has over 800 cargo and other planes at their disposal, and most chemtrail planes in the US have been identified as military, I question whether commercial aircraft are spraying using fuel mixed with the standard chemtrail chemicals. I’ve read of many other countries commercial airlines that do contract the spraying but I have no confirmation of that.
I’m very curious what your dad, EagleEye, has to say on the subject. I would assume him to be close to my age so have grown up in a clean air environment , and if so he would surely have noticed when they started spraying chemtrails that obliterated the sky.
I recently read an analogy similar to this. You get up on a very cold Colorado morning, say -40F, dress warmly and walk down the street. When you breathe out you leave a condensation trail that  evaporates because it is only tiny ice crystals that quickly dissipate back into the clear air. Now if you could walk down the street for a few blocks and look back and see that your condensation trail was following along and did not evaporate but instead kept spreading out then you would be proving that all those chemtrails are nothing but condensation trails. But of course it doesn’t happen and it never will.
I’ve lived in Bismark North Dakota where one winter the temperature dropped to -70F  (-90F with wind chill) My truck began to overheat because my 50/50 antifreeze was not sufficient and the antifreeze would not circulate…..but I did not leave a condensation trail longer than my truck behind me.
I’ve also lived three winters in Anchorage Alaska and traveled to Nome, Kotzebue, Barrow, and Fairbanks. Nope, never left any lingering persistent contrails.
Then I lived in Northern British Columbia for the next 25+ years, very close to nature, building a rural ranch, with the occasional very cold temperature, but again never a persistent contrail.
Only after moving to southern  British Columbia did I ever see a persistent contrail (chemtrail). The first was in September 2007, 10 years after moving to this location, and I pulled off the road so I could observe it more thoroughly. After that they became more and more common until they were/are almost a daily occurrence. Not one or two but 50 or more from aircraft, 3 or 4 in sight at a time, that appear to be going back and forth, covering the area over the city until the sky is obliterated by these chemtrails.
So eeos, you have asked me on a couple occasions for more info. All I can say is do some research yourself if you really can’t see, because “None are so blind as those who will not see“. As I said earlier, I’m curious what your dad has to say on the subject??
All The Best,       Silverngold”

Top Iranian Negotiator ‘Frequently Shouts’ at Kerry, Western Officials

VIENNA—Iran’s foreign minister and lead negotiator in nuclear talks is known to frequently scream and shout at Western diplomats, including Secretary of State John Kerry, a practice that has caused alarm among bodyguards stationed outside the negotiating room, according to a member of the Iranian diplomatic team who spoke to the Farsi-language press.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif—who is scheduled to hold one-on-one talks with Kerry this evening in Vienna—”frequently shouts at Western diplomats” in such a forceful manner that bodyguards have hurriedly entered the negotiation room on occasion worried that an incident might occur, according to one Iranian diplomat involved in negotiations who spoke anonymously with the Iranian press earlier this week.

On one occasion, Zarif’s shouts were so loud that a member of the Iranian delegation entered the negotiation room to check on the players, according to the report, which was independently translated for the Free Beacon.
