JDST=This is absolutely brutal-I think gold put in a classic bottom overnite at 1130 and the modus operandi is now buy the dips

Posted by Richard640 @ 12:50 on November 7, 2014

–not sell the rallies–this is a classic set up–even long term goldbugs were seen jumping out of windows-sentiment-valuation-wise–this could be an historic day even if gold is only up $25–I think there will be persistence now…just one mans opinion-DYOD-O, yeah, also there was lots of crowing by the bears with the usual 600-700 targets bandied about….DYOD DYOD DYOD….

JDST=$26.46 -10.50 -28.42%

Sure did. Maybe we can break the 2% rule now?

I suspect all the guru’s will be firmly focused on $1180 now.

Great article Maddog. I got 2 important conclusions from it…

1. Matt Taibbi should never get into a Mercedes

2. Fleischmann should never go past the second floor of any building.

This sounds sustainable

“So, Eric, nothing adds up in Japan. Tax revenue is 43 trillion yen, which is $400 billion, and debt service plus social security payments are now 120 percent of tax revenues. What is happening in Japan is they are having to borrow 50 percent of the budget just to make ends meet. ”

ICE wins race to run the London gold fix

London’s near century-old gold fix will be replaced by an electronic system run by U.S.-based ICE Benchmark Administration from the first quarter of 2015, the London Bullion Market Association said on Friday.

Participants will now fix the global gold benchmark twice a day, as banks opted out of a system that had been in place since September 1919.

The new system aims to increase transparency in the wake of rate-rigging scandals. LBMA said the auction will be in dollars, euros and sterling, with bids and offers published in real time and the price updated every 30 seconds.

The LBMA ran two market surveys, a seminar and met with participants during a consultation period in which a consensus was reached that IBA should be the administrator, the association said. IBA is responsible for the London interbank offered rate.

The announcement is the special interest to Chinese investors, which reportedly have approached the LBMA to be part of the silver pricing benchmark.

London is the world’s largest trading center for precious metals. Total demand for gold last year was $184 billion, according to the World Gold Council.

Swiss yes vote could lift gold price 18%

Posted by ipso facto @ 11:06 on November 7, 2014

Gold was trending lower for a sixth straight session on Thursday hitting fresh four-year lows, but a market desperate for bullish news could find it in Switzerland at the end of the month.

The Swiss go to the polls on November 30 in a referendum that will lay down new rules for the country’s central bank concerning its gold reserves.

Surveys are divided about support for the “Save Our Gold” camp that would force the Swiss National Bank to hold 20% of its reserves in gold, repatriate bullion held outside its borders and halt all sales, but a yes vote would be just what investors who nursing a 30%-plus drop in the price over the past two years need.

Britain claims victory in EU budget payment battle

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:37 on November 7, 2014

BRUSSELS (AP) — Britain claimed victory on Friday in its standoff with the European Union over a 2.1 billion euro ($2.7 billion) budget contribution, saying it was able to reduce and delay the bill.

British Treasury chief George Osborne said after a meeting of EU finance ministers that the British “have halved the bill, we have delayed the bill, we will pay no interest on the bill.”

He said payments would be due in the second half of next year, well after general elections on May 7, when Britain’s cantankerous relationship with the EU is bound to a central theme.

Friday’s decision would spread Britain’s payment out to next September, giving Cameron a breathing space of 10 months instead of barely three weeks

That IS the question. How long will it last? 1% rule is clearly in force so far.

Funny how easily this stuff goes down but how hard it struggles to go up.

Bob Pisani on CNBS commented how he doesn’t see any real value in the SM, but that it was good to see gold stocks rally a little the last couple of days and that there was “potential value in the gold miners”. HUH?

Geez Bob, just STFU

Nice bounce so far…how long it will last is the question…

stop acting like a pissing kid. Go pick fights somewhere else. Contribute something positive and meaningful or just keep trucking buddy. Fully and the gang surely would love you over there.

Do I believe in false flags? sure why not. Have I ever seen one in my lifetime? Most likely. Does it matter? No. Are all events conspiracies? No.

Show me a chart, awe eff it, I don’t believe in those for the PM’s right now.

Dude you should know bugs are edgy people in the first place. Doubt and reason are healthy.

All the terrorists are sitting around singing love songs together. And the lone psychopaths have given up going into schools and other public places to kill people. Everything you see is a hoax, a false flag event.

LOL!

Gold has backed off 12 bucks from its high but seems to have bottomed overbite at 1130.40 and hit a high just now of 1159.

Silver is a huge 42 cents off its high

So you see that bullish news has its positive effect on G&S futures immediately reversed by MANIPULATION,  Trader Dan and your ilk….and  this is not the only time–it happens over 90% of the time…this is just normal trading in futures mkts?

Just a Friday morning question. How many of the readers here were knowledgeable of the great pandemic prior to 10 years ago ? It is suggested it killed more souls than the WW1? I would suggest, very very few in truth were knowledgeable…40-50 million are estimated to have died …and even those numbers are disputed on the low side.

My point: the list of so very many other key to insight …DEC 23. 1913,….so many unknowns which were never shared…to the sheep.

PM’s immediately soar then get smacked right back down.

Apparently $1150 is new resistance now. Unbelievable.
