Gold just popped to UP 2.50 and immediately was deluged by sell orders now down 2.80

Nothing unusual there,eh?

Trader Dan claims the wee hrs a.m. sellers are trapped longs crying “get me out” at any price–this writer disagrees:

“This swamped an otherwise excellent session in Shanghai,”

After searching and searching for the “capitulation crowd,” it seems he/they/it has a new proclivity and particular urge to indiscriminately hit the nuke sell button at 12:30 a.m. EST, while Japan is on its lunch break and with most gold trading at a crawl. The one today was indicated to be 13,000 contracts or 37 tonnes. Later another large trade of undetermined size hit the market. This swamped an otherwise excellent session in Shanghai, where 12.8 tonnes was delivered.

The Commitment of Traders report on Friday will no doubt reflect an unprecedented and extreme managed money short position in both gold and silver. I am guessing it took 50,000-60,000 contracts of new naked shorts to drive the price of gold down $80. That would bring the total gold short position for managed money slingers to more than 120,000.

IN SEARCH OF THE ELUSIVE, PRECIOUS METAL, CAPITULATION SELLERS
by RUSS WINTER

GDXJ has 68.54 million shares outstanding. During the last five days, it traded about 110 million shares. Although it seems there is an extreme capitulation out of hands that capitulated long ago, the reality the forensics point to is an over-the-top derivative trade and hyper-HFT quote stuffing being put on in this sector. The entire tiny GDXJ capitalization has had a “complete capitulation turnover.” With a sixth day in store that will be a “double capitulation” over six days. I haven’t checked all 63 stocks in the index, but among the names I am involved with I have observed almost no institutional selling during the last couple weeks.

The five-day turnover in GDX was about 100% of total cap, indicating that sellers there have had one total turnover “capitulation. And once again, I have been hard pressed to find institutional selling there either.

So I decided to investigate how the “capitulation” materialized in the precious metal coins market. Didn’t find it there either as a brisk 625,000 silver ounces were sold Monday and Tuesday at the U.S. Mint.

Update: The US Mint has just issued an alert to Primary Dealers across the US that Silver Eagle inventories, which according to the Mint began offering today at over 2 million ounces, are now SOLD OUT as of 12:30pm EST.

Next in my Sherlock Holmes sleuthing for the elusive gold liquidator, I checked out Bullion Vault, which holds gold for clients in western locations like London, Zurich, New York and Toronto — where allegedly gold is largely ignored. But this outfit reported a positive buy-sell index in September at 53.4, and in October as well at 51.9. Vault gold holdings were unchanged at 33.2 metric tons. Customers’ silver holdings increased 19.9 tons to a record 488 tons.

Crimex open interest is like a broken record. Clearly, more naked shorting as gold OI was up 3,488 and silver 966. So no “long capitulation” there either. Plus, there are still 117,675 December silver contracts still hanging around.

Another 10 tonnes of gold was removed from Crimex vaults yesterday, bringing that down to 251.94 tonnes. And apparently 2.39 tonnes was scurried up from the GLD etf. That leaves 738.82 tonnes of tungsten and paper receipts left to go there.

The GOFO is still at a rare negative rate: one month -0.05%; two months -0.015%. Supplies are tight, so apparently the “capitulated” gold isn’t turning up here either.

The Republican priorities:

Wed, 11/05/2014 – 22:48 | 5418212

Our priorities in the 114th Congress will be your priorities. That means addressing head-on many of the most pressing challenges facing the country, including:

The insanely complex tax code that is driving American jobs overseas;

Health costs that continue to rise under a hopelessly flawed law that Americans have never supported;

A savage global terrorist threat that seeks to wage war on every American;

An education system that denies choice to parents and denies a good education to too many children;

Excessive regulations and frivolous lawsuits that are driving up costs for families and preventing the economy from growing;

An antiquated government bureaucracy ill-equipped to serve a citizenry facing 21st-century challenges, from disease control to caring for veterans;

A national debt that has Americans stealing from their children and grandchildren, robbing them of benefits that they will never see and leaving them with burdens that will be nearly impossible to repay.

January will bring the opportunity to begin anew. Republicans will return the focus to the issues at the top of your priority list. Your concerns will be our concerns. That’s our pledge.

J S Bach

The Republican “agenda” is all relatively meaningless fluff.
The Republicans & Democrats are identical on the three most critical issues our country faces:

1.) Monetary policy (especially who controls the issuance of currency)
2.) foreign policy (endless wars) and
3.) Immigration policy (open borders and no effective deterrence)

As long as the usurers continue to dictate our monetary policy, nothing substantive will change. Bought puppet will follow corrupt puppet ad infinitum.

Translation:

We’re cutting taxes on the super rich, we’re going to war, your health coverage is over, good luck in school if you’re poor.

Eeos,  I was on a tour of the RCM  a few years ago.  Many areas were not included on the tour.  I remember being shocked at all the humongous rolls of silver and gold and room after room of stackers filling tubes and monster boxes, thinking to myself “Hmmmm,  there is no shortage here”.  Of course, they are minting for the whole country and shipping to a worldwide market……..

I am shocked, that right now,   they will sell a  4 nines 1 Oz  silver coin for 20 bucks CDN,  but thats the biz and the price right now is the price……

As far as production speed, watch this little video

Chinese President’s Delegation Tied to Illegal Ivory Purchases During Africa Visit

In March 2013, President Xi Jinping of China arrived in the East African country of Tanzania on his first visit to the continent as leader of the world’s second-largest economy. He was joined by a large entourage of Chinese government officials and business leaders, officially there to promote a mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries.

But according to a new report from the Environmental Investigation Agency, a nongovernmental organization based in London, members of the delegation used Mr. Xi’s visit as an opportunity to procure so much illegal ivory that local prices doubled to $700 per kilogram, or about $318 per pound. In fact, two weeks before Mr. Xi arrived, Chinese buyers went on a shopping spree for illegal ivory, purchasing thousands of pounds of poached tusks, which were “later sent to China in diplomatic bags on the presidential plane,” says the report, “Vanishing Point: Criminality, Corruption and the Devastation of Tanzania’s Elephants,” which was released on Thursday.

“Your president, he was here,” said Suleiman Mochiwa, a Tanzanian ivory smuggler, referring to Mr. Xi in hidden camera footage provided by the organization. “When he was here, many kilos go out on his plane with the escort. They buy from us.”

At a time when the Chinese government is trying to prove itself a responsible state actor that is serious about rooting out corruption and abiding by international law, the organization’s report describes a devastating environmental cost of China’s geopolitical rise: Chinese diplomats and military personnel, it says, are colluding with corrupt Tanzanian officials and Chinese-led crime syndicates that send huge amounts of illegal ivory to China, reducing Tanzania’s elephant population by half. I don’t think it’s really possible to mint 1.26 Million Silver Eagles in 5 days

Posted by eeos @ 5:01 on November 6, 2014

But the US Mint claims that’s the case…..I think they try to save face and they roll some of the numbers from last months production into the next, and hope demand will look low. You know a gang buster month will be noticed by the general public, so conceal the facts. So now we’re suppose to believe that they can make 175 coins a second. I don’t believe it, sorry US Mint liars. If I were a cadet I’d be blabbing what the hell’s going on in the US Mint and sharing it with someone like Snowden.

I felt so invigorated that the shrub was on his way out and that a great neighbor nation was to find salvation…and I don’t tan very well.

I hope I’m not getting fooled again…
