We had SPX hit the apex of a rising wedge and $/Yen the downtrend line.

Previous, we had old and silver crushed on no news.

Then, out of the blue, or not we have the Ukraine issuing a statement at precisely the right time for the rising wedge to collapse. And now, we get Russia stating that there was no such incursion and the Ukraine story is simply not true.

The one sector no one can explain is the 30 year bond just keeps rocketing higher.

Who decided to release those unsubstantiated headlines at the precise time? The US clearly has non stop surveilance of the Ukraine border, so where is the State Dept.? and why were they not consulted before running the headline?

Stocks and bonds and metals are a trillions in price and I see no one saying that entities use the media to reap endless profit.

Aid convoy to Ukraine faces disruption, may be attacked – Russia

Moscow has information that the convoy delivering humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine may be attacked by Kiev’s forces, with the “punitive” Aidar Battalion planning to mine the road that the vehicles will use, the Russian Foreign Ministry says.

On Friday, Moscow accused Ukraine of attempting to disrupt the humanitarian aid convoy now that the preparations for its delivery have reached their final stages and all key issues have been agreed upon.

“We draw attention to the sharp intensification of military actions by Ukrainian forces with the obvious goal to block the route, agreed upon with Kiev, of the humanitarian convoy from the Russia-Ukraine border to Lugansk,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

In Moscow’s view, all this gives the impression that there are people both in Ukraine and abroad who are willing to disrupt the humanitarian mission, even “at the cost of new casualties and destruction.”

“Those nurturing such criminal plans are taking huge responsibility for their consequences,” the ministry said.

(Reuters) – Tribal leaders and clerics from Iraq’s Sunni heartland said on Friday they would be willing under certain conditions to join a new government that hopes to contain sectarian bloodshed and an offensive by Islamic State militants that threatens Baghdad.

Members of the Sunni Muslim minority made their offer after Iraq’s most influential Shi’ite cleric, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, threw his weight behind prime minister-designate Haider al-Abadi, a Shi’ite trying to form an inclusive government in a country beset by daily bombings, abductions and executions.

Abadi faces the daunting task of pacifying the vast western province of Anbar, where Sunni frustrations with the sectarian policies of outgoing Shi’ite premier Nuri al-Maliki have pushed some to join an insurgency led by the Islamic State fighters.

The tribal leaders and clerics said Sunni representatives in Anbar and other provinces have drawn up a list of demands to be delivered to Abadi through Sunni politicians, their spokesman Taha Mohammed al-Hamdoon told Reuters.

As I understand it the aid convoy and the convoy that was attacked were totally separate. The convoy that was attacked I assume was the convoy of 23 armored cars etc with Russian plates that entered Ukraine a night or two previously.

Not to say that Pootie won’t combine the two in a statement …
