Aerially listening to him talk to his mom and about the plane “ they probably used mechanical issues again I don’t know “ but he’s saying something like Mom you know I don’t like flying. That doesn’t give me much confidence on my first flight. LMAO Maybe in the confusion and not thinking about the 3 hour time change when she was giving different time for different flights on the way back he liked the one that only takes a hour and a half. I couldn’t stop laughing,
I just hope his trip is okay when he does go and got him to bring food just in case.

Buygold @ 18:57 what I keep seeing is one big Derivative bag into which all Derivative investor money is deposited.

Posted by silverngold @ 22:53 on November 4, 2022

If it’s a short PM ETF the dollars go into that bag, and if it’s a long PM ETF the dollars go into that same bag, or if it’s a short or long oil ETF the dollars go into the same bag. Then the PTB holding that bag simply reaches into the bag and puts those dollars to work, long or short, wherever they are needed to control ALL the markets….The reason they can get away with it is because the ETF charters only require that they TRACK the value of the underlying securities their ETF represents and report that value at the close of each market day…..and if they run into a problem all they have to do is delist  the problem ETF, divide up and return whatever is left of the investor money, and walk away with no liability. All IMO and FWIW but that is basically what I see, and why Derivatives have exploded into existence so quickly.

goldielocks @ 18:56 I think they’re ready to kick the can over the cliff, and the people are tied to the can so they go with it!

Re: your son-in-law, I don’t envy his predicament. What should be a pleasant experience and routine flights, going to help his mom, seems to be turning to a nightmare. My prayers are with him and I hope all goes well and ends well. The greatest pleasures I’ve received in life have been helping others who are trying to help themselves and just needed a little helping hand. OTOH, I’ve never put a nickel into the hat of a person holding a “I’m hungry” sign while sitting on the curb.

Sounds like you have a winner in your son-in-law!

Well it’s happening again least not to me this time.

Posted by goldielocks @ 20:44 on November 4, 2022

Flight hours canceled and changed. It’s going to be worse for him. He said he would never fly until his mom needed help.
He’s already got this going to a funeral look now this. Might be weather this time don’t know yet. I do know that they laid a lot of workers off on leave who refused to take the jab without pay. That way they didn’t have to look bad and say they fired them and are short of staff. To my memory the stewardess only get paid when their in the air not for lay overs or delays.

there is a rumor that the mint is stamping silver eagles full bore but only releasing a few ; stockpiling most of production . Could mean that our day is not far off .

“My personal thought was/is that we are very close to a Derivatives blowup that will shake the world and bring down all the monetary systems.”

Agree. Given the action in the USD it could very well be some sort of monetary disaster. I posted a ZH article this am that the World Gold Council reported that central banks around the world were snapping up gold to the tune of 399 Tons last quarter. 300 of those tons went to an unnamed bank or entity. Why and who? Thing is, 400 tons is a $20 billion drop in the bucket.

I’ve never seen the USD drop 2% in a session. I’ve also never had a day percentage wise that was as strong as today. Made up the last two days big losses. Never happened before to me.

Long way to go still, just hope this is real.

Correction – 400 tons is $20 billion.

That’s another kick the can down the road at the end of every year. One think I can assume, it should be good for gold.
Right now I’m babysitting while my youngest daughters other getting ready to Fly to Florida to help his mom replace her floors. Luckily she wasn’t there because it took on water. She’s in the Fort Meyers areas.

Been a while since we’ve seen such a nice candle in the shares!

Not a shabby day for gold either spot gold up over $50!

Posted by old-timer @ 16:11 on November 4, 2022

On Ebay, from APMEX, a $5 roll of silver dimes is available for $130.

I remember, as a kid collecting on my paper route, all those silver quarters and halves.

Paper was 50 cents a week as I recall.

A dollar in silver in my pocket was good for a weekend of movie, cokes, and fun.

Different world.

How things degrade when we let the real money go away.

I have been told privately by my late friend and poster Pict that many things, both good and bad, occur near or on number sequencing dates.  Why I don’t know, but the poster I referenced does not waste his time posting drivel or nonsense….so when he “speaks”, I listen…. and this “portal in time” message was not prompted by anyone else; he just volunteered the info.

I think it depends which side of the fence you’re on  as to whether what happens is good or bad. My personal thought was/is that we are very close to a Derivatives blowup that will shake the world and bring down all the monetary systems. IMO Derivatives are the only thing holding the markets up and the PM’s down, and over the past 20 or so years they have gone from a handful to almost 10,000 that cover and control all aspects of investments….and more than half of them are owned and controlled by Blackrock’s ALADDIN computer.  No matter where I start I always seem to end up back here. Maybe you need to watch this again? Once you see it you can’t un-see it! Just saying!

Hope fully today is the kind of share move that ‘leads’…..

The dollar looks like it has started the next leg down, check the Aussie dollar a 3 % move, which is huge in currencies.

Posted by Maddog @ 15:42 on November 4, 2022

I think you’ll find prices were very stable through most of the 1700’s to late 1800’s…..they went bad from then on and have been getting worse, ever since government became dominant.

CPI data 1913 to present

Posted by goldielocks @ 15:15 on November 4, 2022

I noticed something. The only time in history since 1913 the CPI data dropped,
That was in the 1930s it actually dropped till nearing 1940s Even after 2008 it kept moving up. So I guess that’s one way to tell if we’re going into a depression although maybe dropping would be good if the jobs held.
The 50s were pretty good times and stable,
Jumped a bit then 60 then stable then after that just kept moving.
Ps The CPI inflation from Jan 2020 till Oct 22 In just a few years were historic inflation in just 2 yrs but they didn’t act till now.

Consumer Price Index Data from 1913 to 2024

Posted by goldielocks @ 14:58 on November 4, 2022

The CPI hasn’t changed much in the last few months except gas fluctuations. It might even be down a little bit with utilities and summer over before full winter for most and discounts plus stabilization with food prices even though high not getting higher at the moment.
If we’re going to have diesel shortages going forward that may change. But might reflect on consumer tightening which then of course reflects on businesses.

Posted by ipso facto @ 14:43 on November 4, 2022

Yes it seems like much is going on under the surface. Cos blowing up? Or is it a rush to tangibles as the charade of paper money catches fire?

Grab yer popcorn!

Ipso, SNG

Posted by Buygold @ 14:27 on November 4, 2022

Ipso – I wonder if something else might have snapped as well. I’m stunned that we’re up with the 10 yr. up 2 bips, and the SM down. Makes no sense to me, at least from what we’ve seen for the last 6 months.

On a Friday no less. I’d think we might get some profit taking into the close because this move is so huge, but someone is pulling the trigger.

SNG – Got it. 11/11/22. A portal opening doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing, right? Exciting actually.

Posted by goldielocks @ 14:27 on November 4, 2022

Is this person doing stars work or just expects a surprising number with the CPI?
Like a number that’s still high lol
It it wasn’t funny it would be funny.
Like those birthday candies you blow out and they light back up again.

Something Has Snapped: Unexplained 2.3 Million Jobs Gap Emerges In Broken Payrolls Report

Goldielocks, It’ll be interesting to see if it ties in with this post I made on the 2nd.

From a very respected and knowledgeable poster on another private forum…..

11-11-2022 is a portal in time on which an event is likely to occur…. maybe related to the elections….or maybe a false flag…. or maybe THE market crash…..or?

Mark your calendar and be prepared. That’s Friday, November 11, 2022. FWIW!
