Hi drb2. Here is my thoughts on gaps.

I use the old adage, all gaps get filled. Sooner or later, sometimes months later, when you think, its long forgotten and “the price” will never go back there, wham, the gap gets filled.

When I look at a chart and see some old long forgotten gap, it gives me pause for thought. LOL, long enough to say to myself, this time the price will never go back there, buy buy, buy!

Breakout gaps, continuation gaps, exhaustion gaps, and gaps in general; nature abhors a vacuum.

depending on what source you use (weird in itself) there is an open gap (~$1764-1773 Au / ~$21.55-21.96 Ag) around Dec 15th, 2021.

Does this have to get filled?    …or are we close enough?

Glad to see you post. I haven’t been to Belize since December, 2019. Brought back the Covid with me. I refuse to take the jab so I may never get on another airplane.

Also if Dopey goes higher, and important commodities get cheaper, production will lag demand, some producers will shut down, then less supply. Then the idiots will be forced to add tariffs on imported lumber and steel etc like little George had to in 2000. We were doing great back in June. By the way, my third heating oil delivery coming Saturday. For 300 gallons, $882 in November, $836 in December, and $1,020 coming Saturday. Spot is $2.74, + .57 cents retail $3.31/gallon delivered latest price. Burning 8.8 gallons per day. Usually use, 1200 1300 gallons a year.

Gasoline was .25/gallon and I remember heating oil was even cheaper, before 1970.  Under $3/bbl Crude. I feel like I’m putting hi test gas in my oil tank. Oil or diesel used to be a lot cheaper than gasoline.

just Monday we exploded higher and were looking at a breakout in the HUI and moving above $1850.

3 days later we’re crushed and no bounce in sight.

Silver has some support at $22.50 and at $22. I hope it holds but I don’t believe it will unless the USDX hits a wall.

Relax, investors in metals and mining. When reality sets in and the dollar drops these metals or gold will naturally take off.

if the dollar today is too high, then the metals are too cheap today. I was just listening to the ceo Freeport McMoran. He’s extremely bullish. Copper is scarce and getting hard to find.

And the need is growing. And locals in copper producing countries like Peru and Chili 40% of copper supply have been causing trouble or inhibiting production in various ways.

They put out a Gold buy rec a day ago, in front of the scum meeting…..and look what happened.

Yesterday did alot of damage to our sector, sure took the wind out of my sails.

The shares sold off on below average volume, but I’m not sure it matters all that much, because the USD is ripping higher again.
