Moggy….Love that song!!

I have no problem with the “HOLD-UM” but historically have had a problem with the “FOLD-UM” part. Hopefully this time I’ll know when to walk away and know when to run. But frankly, to me it’s more how one plays the game than whether one wins the big hand with a Royal Flush. To me the winners are the ones who come through to the end, and whether they win or lose, maintain their integrity and can honestly say “I did my best for myself, my loved ones, and my friends.  The important thing is how you play the game. All the Best from Silverngold!!

It’s been said many times over the past years that very few of us will be here when we hit the top. I don’t know if that means most of us die before we ever get there…. or it means most of us get discouraged and quit before we get there.  All I know is I’ll either be here when we hit that top…..or I’ll be dead and watching from above to see who was still here. I’ve never quit anything in my life until I was a winner because long ago I memorized that little saying, “Quitters never win and winners never quit”. It’s the principle of the thing Moggy. It’s the principle of the thing!! LOL!!!

It’s been 14 years of this nonsense for me and I seriously doubt that I’ll live to see those huge figures being quoted for the precious.  I’m not being pessimistic, I am being realistic.  Despite what is and has been occurring:

Ecuador signs key deal with Lundin on Fruta del Norte gold mine

Posted by ipso facto @ 17:34 on December 15, 2016

Ecuador has signed a contract with Canada’s Lundin Gold (TSX:LUG) that allows the miner to move ahead with its Fruta del Norte gold project, the country’s largest.

The Vancouver-based company plans to build and operate an underground mine, along with a processing centre at the site, located in the southeastern Amazon province of Zamora Chinchipe.

The company stock was soaring this morning on the news, delivered after market close Wednesday. It was up 3.6% to Cdn$5.18 in Toronto at 11:40 am.

“In just under two years, working cooperatively with the Government of Ecuador, we have negotiated this key agreement and completed the Feasibility Study for FDN, paving the way for the development of this world-class asset,” chairman Lukas Lundin said in a statement.

As part of the deal, Lundin Gold will have to pay advance royalties totalling $65 million to the Government of Ecuador, of which $25 million will be paid within the next few days.

The balance is expected to be delivered over the next two years, with $20 million due on the one-year anniversary and $20 million due on the second anniversary of signing.

A 5% NSR is also payable from production, and the advance royalty payment is deductible from future royalties payable.

But about those leveraged ETF, I don’t mess with them since I see what happens to those who do. I might be stupid and I might be crazy but I’m NOT insane!! LOL!!

I don’t know, I don’t see a bottom here. I suspect we have at least two weeks of selling still left as investors sell their losers for cap gain purposes. Some of the shares doubled and tripled only to end down on the year. Only in pm’s.

Ya just have to laugh. NUGT and JNUG split 10-1 a few months ago and now will do yet another 10-1 reverse split probably in a couple of weeks. Could only happen in pm’s.

Rickards and all the rest are so full of crap.

Thank Heaven for small favors!

If it IS the 8 year bottom it is less severe than the one in late 2008

“There is a potential for a currency upheaval. A possible new gold and silver bull phase, with buying opportunities for us, while all other investors consider the area negatively – often an ideal time to buy.”

treefrog @ 12:24 re more takers than makers

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 15:18 on December 15, 2016

Re part: “New Mexico – 148 dependents per 100 private sector workers”. The story left out all the private sector employees of gov’t VENDORS. They are no different. Also net “takers”.

Many gov’t jobs for vendors are unnecessary, like welfare also. I call them welfare jobs. Any so-called taxes they pay are really just like kick backs. Many are paid so much, that after “taxes” their take home pay (and benefits) are still high.

Incredible ain’t it! … and it could happen here. Are we past the point of no return already? I’m not sure there’s a way back until after a massive upheaval.

Try this on for size…

Dated: the Future

Hiya ****

Man I got the surprise of my life this morning and turned on the TV – the news channel was reporting some serious riots in the large cities. Apparently the government is holding an emergency meeting to deal with the ECU, India, China and Russia who are no longer going to recognize the U.S. dollar. Anyway, the Feds have declared a bank holiday and will remain closed until further notice.

Well, you know me, my first thought was to check my food supplies; did not look that good. Sooo, into my car to go to the store and found everyone on the road. Traffic jams and a couple of accidents. No traffic controls – no cops in sight.

I got to the store and it was a mob-scene with people running out with anything edible. The checkouts were just empty and I heard what sounded like gunshots in the pharmacy area. No police in sight!! This was just too crazy so I headed for home.

It occurred me that I was a little low on gas so, after an hour in line, pulled up to the pump. An armed guy asked me to pay in advance so when I pulled out my wallet he said “No U.S currency, gold or silver only”. I reminded him that he was legally required to accept dollars. He just looked at me and pulled out his gun; motioned me to go. He was very firm and threatening so I went toward home.

When I got there some of my friends and neighbors were standing around. They said they were forming a neighborhood committee to pool food and gas until things could get back to normal. I stalled; I have a pretty good supply of food but was thinking ahead to how long I could last. They were very unhappy with my reticence but finally left. I had a very uneasy feeling that the next visit they were going to be carrying guns.

So, the TV and electricity is not working, water pressure is falling. I’m organizing (and hiding)) my food. I have checked my guns, just in case things get really bad. One reason I’m emailing you (hoping you get this) is that I recall you were stashing food at your place. I’m hoping that you will invite me up to visit and we can work on surviving this. One thing, my sister and her four kids will be coming with me, if that’s OK. I know that I can rely on you, old friend!!
