yeah, I’m not seeing it either unfortunately. The surprise would be if it actually sticks. I’m too used to this happening

Only in gold may you get a backtest of the backtest. I cant see this sticking for the life of me.
so SBR does this mean CDE is going to collapse or explode upwards?
CDE has BAD management. Enter at your own risk. Some stocks are better untouched. I have a large position in CDE but I have no faith in the people running the corporation any longer. Nice chart, not so nice stock.

because their flagship mine is not performing. SAND is effectively offering a bailout to a non-performer. Hence, it is being shot.

Tobacco-derived ‘plantibodies’ enter the fight against Ebola
(Reuters) – Drugmakers’ use of the tobacco plant as a fast and cheap way to produce novel biotechnology treatments is gaining global attention because of its role in an experimental Ebola therapy.
The treatment, which had been tested only in lab animals before being given to two American medical workers in Liberia, consists of proteins called monoclonal antibodies that bind to and inactivate the Ebola virus.
For decades biotech companies have produced such antibodies by growing genetically engineered mouse cells in enormous metal bioreactors. But in the case of the new Ebola treatment ZMapp, developed by Mapp Pharmaceuticals, the antibodies were produced in tobacco plants at Kentucky Bioprocessing, a unit of tobacco giant Reynolds American.
The tobacco-plant-produced monoclonals have been dubbed “plantibodies.”
“Tobacco makes for a good vehicle to express the antibodies because it is inexpensive and it can produce a lot,” said Erica Ollmann Saphire, a professor at The Scripps Research Institute and a prominent researcher in viral hemorrhagic fever diseases like Ebola. “It is grown in a greenhouse and you can manufacture kilograms of the materials. It is much less expensive than cell culture.”

August is the month to buy silver
The gold market has been relatively quiet of late with the metal hovering either side of $1,300 for months.
After last year’s white-knuckle ride culminating in the metal’s worst performance in more than 30 years, there are those who welcome the calm.
Sister silver’s wild price fluctuations is why traders often refer to it as the devil’s metal, or in today’s idiom: Gold on crack.
However like gold punters, silver traders are no longer swinging for the fences as they did in previous years: volatility in the silver price is at a decade low.
Money Morning has crunched the numbers and if you plan to invest in metals this month, silver could be your best bet.
Silver has finished up every year in August for the last five years. And the monthly returns have been mouth-watering – averaging 10.4%, including a 19.3% gain last year.
Over the last decade, the appreciation has been less pronounced but still solid: The precious metal has finished up seven times and averaged a 3.6% for the month.
“With silver only up slightly year to date, I think odds are good we’ll see it gain some ground in August,” said Money Morning Resource Specialist Peter Krauth. “We could well see trading pick up this month.”
Last year, trading volume increased by 65.1% in August according to the website.

The European “Recovery” Is Over: Italy “Unexpectedly” Enters Triple-Dip Recession
Tyler Durden’s pictureSubmitted by Tyler Durden on 08/06/2014 06:38 -0400
Goodbye European recovery, we hardly knew you.
It must have come as a huge shock to all hypnotized lemmings aka “sophisticated investors” who have been following the manipulated, artificial yields in the Italian 10Y relentlessly declining and thus suggesting at least some economic stability, when an hour ago instead of reporting a 0.1% increase for its Q2 GDP as widely expected, Italy “unexpectedly” reported a sequential contraction of -0.2% down from a -0.1% drop in Q1, and officially the start of yet another, its third since Lehman, recession. Then again, considering Italy’s youth unemployment of over 40% just hit a record high, we use the term “unexpectedly” rather loosely.

That’s a rare bird. Maybe now’s the time.

Let’s hope so my friend. Color me happy but still nervous. Want this to stay strong today and then continue for a few days.
I’m conditioned to waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Russia, weak data weigh on nervous Europe
LONDON (Reuters) – European stocks fell on Wednesday while nervous investors took refuge in high-rated bonds as Russia amassed troops on its border with Ukraine, raising concerns among western powers that it could invade.
The euro came under pressure, trading at nine-month low against the dollar amid threats of retaliatory Russian sanctions against the European Union, and signs the crisis in Ukraine was hitting Europe’s biggest economy Germany. [FRX/]
German industrial orders slid in June at their steepest rate since September 2011, and the economy ministry said political tensions had probably led to more caution from customers.
“We are getting closer to a situation where we really have an escalation of the conflict… sanctions being stepped up, and things moving out of control,” said Elwin de Groot, senior market economist at Rabobank.

Screaming fundamentals
Not to overstate the obvious, but I feel that most, if not all, of us on the tent know that the fundamentals for owning physical gold and silver, and sound well-run miners at these levels, is a no brainer. But the more I read of Martin Armstrong’s computer based capital flow cyclical models, the more I tend to understand what he’s saying. As the media and politicians tend to reveal and expose the true deplorable economic conditions in Europe ( really everywhere, but their deplorable conditions are being exposed first), money and capital will flow to the U.S., and has been for some time now. This is definitely giving a boost to the U.S. Dollar and will continue to do so, at least as this strategy is being pursued. It proves to be another headwind for the metals here, only until the U.S’s true conditions are understood and exposed for all to see. I know that my patience has been wearing thin the last 5 years, but at least I feel that I second guess myself less, and feel more comfortable averaging down ( albeit in very small increments) at these levels.
