Looks like we’re flat today pretty much with the dollar down a little, and the 10 yr. up a bip or so.

I think flat for a couple of days works before resuming the march higher. I don’t think that this is a repeat of the last rally where the HUI hit 320 and then crashed starting in May for the rest of the summer, at least that’s what I’m hoping.

I’m wondering if the debt ceiling default B.S. is affecting rates and moving them higher? I hope they default and screw all foreign and Fed debt but make the average citizen whole. Fat chance. Biden will make sure China gets paid first.

OT – if the FBI and DOJ refuse to comply with document requests by the Congressional oversight committee, which they are doing, along with the other alphabet agencies. How are they to be held to account?

My solution: Red State Governors need to arrest any of them that step on their soil and put them in county jails until they comply. I could see DiSantis doing this. He has outlawed the CBDC in Florida – great insight.

Re Gold

Those are monthly close only charts…..The Hi was 875.87 but the Hi close was 687.62 all in January 80

Silver made its Hi Jan 80 at 48.00….although there was a fix @ 55…it jumped @ 20 dlrs from the previous spot price….I remember ….we were all stunned, it stopped all conversation…..the Hi close was in Feb 80 at 35.20

I’ve been looking at these charts for years after last high for signs of retracement although didn’t expect them to be exact just a pattern.
Gold did not retrace although the cavalry loves too have it sold off at historic highs. In fact it looks like it wants to make a cup and handle pattern. The longer it takes the less reliable but we have circumstances to be a safe haven.
Silver has more similarities of a retracement but instead after the 1980 high of almost 50 dollars that got taken down to 11 dollars within weeks to after the 2011 high made a double bottom instead. The chart on silver or gold  isn’t accurate though. Silver 1980 shows a lower number than the near 50 and gold looks under 800 high of 1980.
