my solution – increase the supply of healthcare! endow a half dozen new med schools a year for the next five years. likewise nurses training. build a couple BIG new hospitals in each state each year.
basic economics, increase the supply, prices will come down.

the ama will scream about lowered standards. let them. if we end up with some lower qualified docs, take a lesson from the lawyers. where do you think public defenders come from? (hint: it’s not from the top quartile of the law school grads.)
