Agree with you about two wrongs. The question I guess is why are we obligated to do something about it?

Are you willing to have us fight that battle?

No easy outs I suppose

VIETNAM

Posted by Ororeef @ 11:23 on October 27, 2015

is our NATURAL FRIEND ..they CAN fight and know how !   a couple of battle ships should send the right message to CHINA  ..Vietnam is a strategic location …a WALL against CHINA  defended by people that know how !   and they have oil that American companies discovered before the WAR…

THATS what the Vietnam war was about !    OUR FRIENDS CAN NOW WELCOME US BACK.. WE give them HARDWARE ..they do the work…a partnership with mutual interests ..  MAYBE TRUMP can do a DEAL  if stupid cant…

The US

Posted by Ororeef @ 11:11 on October 27, 2015

needs to give VIETNAM a battleship  or TWO  as our NEW FRIEND and natural enemy to China  .China fought Vietnam before because Vietnam grows much more RICE than they need and China needs food as millions leave the country side and no longer plant. TINY VIETNAM will kick Chinas ASS…

Vietnam owns the OFFSHORE OIL  that China wants..WE should give Vietnam all the Hardware they need ..THEY  WILL MAKE GOOD USE OF IT .

What goes around comes around …Stupid Liberals need to ask Trump what would he do ?

Two wrongs …

Because we were massively wrong invading Iraq etc. doesn’t mean it’s OK for China to claim territory by military means which is claimed also by other countries. Separate issues IMO

What would Jesus do ?

Posted by Ororeef @ 10:50 on October 27, 2015

“At times, the children of Israel were commanded to make weapons and to use them when necessary. Nehemiah armed his people when they were rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem: ‘Each man with a sword upon his side.’

“Furthermore, Jesus spoke in a positive light about the possession and use of weapons on at least two occasions. In Luke 22, verse 36, Jesus instructed his disciples, ‘But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.’ A sword was the ‘personal handgun’ of Jesus’ day. He actually, and contextually, told his disciples to arm themselves for the tough times that were headed their way. The disciples informed Jesus that they had two such weapons among them and Jesus approved of the fact.

“Additionally, in Luke 11, verse 21, Jesus uses the arming of oneself and their home as a positive example. He uses the illustration in a parable he is telling in the context of spiritual matters. ‘When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe.’ Of course, he could use such a parable in a positive manner like this because it was a common sense statement that the people would understand. Jesus actually bolstered the idea of a person being ‘fully armed.’”

I’d say the legal right comes in just above invading sovereign countries, toppling govt’s, and stealing their oil and opium?

eeos – I hope the Chinese are just blowhards, do we really need another war? I must be getting old and soft. 🙁

Are you saying that if they can get away with it … they should do it?

PS The world has changed a lot since 1500. For an example … the Pope is not so powerful now.

ipso, re “On the other hand what’s legal or right in…”

On the other hand what’s legal or right in claiming a shallow spot in the ocean, dredging it up into an island, building a base there and claiming all minerals and oil within a 200 mile? zone?

Not worth a nuclear war certainly but …

Pretty consistent with the weak eco data we’ve been seeing, but the pm cap is still in.

Going out on a limb and thinking the Fed surprises and raises .25 tomorrow.

All hell breaks out in the SM, gold smashed back to 1120, but then, within a few days the REAL pm rally gets going.

Just an opinion but it’s all mine.

The cave man<<<who needs a house?

Posted by eeos @ 8:11 on October 27, 2015

In the high desert of Northern New Mexico, you can hear the sounds of a man entranced in his work underground in a cave. You will see a small entry that opens into a cavern, where Ra Paulette has spent the last 25 years carving New Mexico’s sandstone into magnificent art. He’s spent years doing this work with the company of only his dog.

When asked if he is a man obsessed with cave digging, he gives the really thoughtful response: “Is a child obsessed with play?” He waxes on to say, that when you love what you are doing, you are driven to do it all the time. He sees his majestic pieces as environmental projects; his goal is to inspire people such that they open up emotionally, in response to the enormity and power of what his carvings evoke.

It can be said that he has created magic in the underground caves that he has carved. They are at once intimate and overwhelming. read more
