Well I certainly hope so. Don’t know what they’ll pull other than selling more treasuries but maybe something to help gold.

The dollar is a huge flag

Posted by eeos @ 18:42 on October 26, 2015

I think we’re gonna get flamed this week. The Federal Reserve is out of it’s mind, but other central banks are even worse. If I had money I’d buy puts on the miners right here. It’s going to be ugly is my prediction. I suppose gold gets killed. King dollar says I’m gonna take your lunch money little kid. And you watch, TA works perfectly fine for approved investments, never in the gold complex

It’s On: Obama Sends Destroyer To Chinese Islands, China Vows Military Response

The US navy is poised to start freedom of navigation operations in the South China Sea in a high-stakes effort to push back against Chinese territorial claims over artificial islands in the disputed waters.

In a move that will enrage Beijing, the USS Lassen, a guided-missile destroyer, will sail inside the 12-nautical mile zones of two man-made islands — Subi and Mischief reefs — that China has built in the contested Spratly Island chain. A senior US defence official said it would sail through the area in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

China has repeatedly warned that it would not tolerate any effort to violate what it considers its territory. Earlier this month, a senior Chinese naval officer said the People’s Liberation Army would hand a “head-on blow” to any foreign forces that violated Chinese sovereignty. His comments came after the Financial Times reported that the US was poised to launch its operations.

The manoeuvre will mark the first time since 2012 that the US navy has sailed through the 12-nautical mile zone surrounding any islands claimed by China. It is aimed at demonstrating that Washington does not recognise any territorial claims over artificial islands in the South China Sea.

re unhealthy food out there?

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 15:54 on October 26, 2015

I think everything is somebody’s advertisement. TPTB would probably like Americans to eat less to keep costs down for others. Plus they think we are all too fat.

The medical powers would like us all to be concerned about our health, and come in for tests procedures etc for income. The alleged organic producers would like more business.

I’ve heard of spouses, on Cold Case Forensic Files show, putting arsenic or rat poison in spouses soup, and person does not die for a very long time. Imo we aren’t so fragile as special interests suggest.

STRESS in the biggest killer.

Yeah, I’m not sure why the Russians would want to play there again, but I know we’ve made a lot of money in the opium market over the last 13 years. Just sayin’

I see the bastards are smacking our shares again albeit on light volume.

I think Fed day is going to be a helluva ride.

There’s sure a lot of unhealthy food out there. I think the use of glyphosphate resistant corn is one of the most scariest. It goes into so many products, and deposits that chemical into your body when you eat. We try to eat as much unprocessed food as possible, and of course the produce out of the garden is organic. Also I haul drinking water from the artesian well in downtown Oly. Could never go back to floridated water now.

Cheers

How about big exercise gyms, free membership, with tread mills that generate electric? 🙂 Lets face it.

The more energy produced, without a need, because of a lower dollar high price, production, companies shut down and people get laid off. Like what has happened lately.

I think the main problem (or fetish) with “saving energy” is the UNSTABLE price. Everybody wants to “save energy”! when the price goes up, and later on, WASTE energy when the price drops. “Lets buy a new boat and motor home honey”.

Energy is just energy like every THING else. The US Dollar is an UNSTABLE unit of account, combined with manipulation by Fed lackeys on the COMEX, and people always look the wrong way when trying to solve problems.

The primary FETISH should be a stable gold backed unit of account currency.

Wake Up America.

I remember very similar story’s back in the 70s Now I can only wonder if they want to use it to ban pork products. There are products that aren’t good for you in any processed meat including sandwich meat and even cheeses and low fat milk. One being MSG a toxin and can be hidden under the name of soy products another nitrates. It could also harm pets like dogs  pancreas and can get pancreatitis as well as spices and garlic a toxic to dogs. Then came dough ” white bread” and white rice. Mexicans eat  a lot of it in tortias and such and did as far as I remember have the highest rate of colon cancer. Different foods in excess an affect different parts of the colon like white rice attributed to Asians.

Comment:
Our local domestic federal gov’t, imo, is obviously sub-servant, or dominated by foreign global special interests, or world powers, and everybody should wake up and realize or acknowledge that. The USA has LOST its independence gradually after 1913.

Its very simple but widely unknown.

24 states line up to block Obama’s Clean Power Plan

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:40 on October 26, 2015

President Obama’s climate change plan has run up against some serious opposition among 24 states that are challenging it in federal court.

On Friday 24 states filed a lawsuit in Washington, DC claiming that the EPA over-reached its authority by demanding that, as part of the Clean Power Plan, states lower their carbon emissions. The suit is being led by West Virginia, a key coal-producing state. Other states challenging the plan include Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wyoming and Wisconsin.

Under the plan, new rules require that states lower their carbon dioxide emissions by 32 percent from 2005 levels by 2030. The regulations could mean some coal-fired power plants will have to shut down in order to meet the limits.

NBC News reports all but two of the states in the suit are led by Republicans. The legal challenge is being accompanied by other lawsuits, from Murray Energy Corp and the National Mining Association, a lobby group.

“The Clean Power Plan is one of the most far-reaching energy regulations in this nation’s history,” NBC quotes West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, among those leading the challenges. “I have a responsibility to protect the lives of millions of working families, the elderly and the poor, from such illegal and unconscionable federal government actions.”

“The immediacy of substantial harm from this power plant rule is plain from EPA’s own data that show it will cause more than 200 coal-fired power plants to close before courts have time to decide the legality of the rule,” Hal Quinn, president of the National Mining Association, said in a statement.

On the other side of the issue, 15 states plus the District of Columbia are backing the Obama administration and will start complying with the new rules, according to NBC.

On Friday EPA administrator Gina McCarthy defended the climate change plan, saying in a statement, “The Clean Power Plan has strong scientific and legal foundations, provides states with broad flexibilities to design and implement plans, and is clearly within EPA’s authority under the Clean Air Act.”

The Clean Power Plan, made public in June 2014, is a centrepiece of the Obama administration’s climate change strategy. It is also the first time in U.S. history that a President imposed limits on power plant emissions, which could transform a sector that currently relies on coal for nearly 38 percent of electricity.

Gold Demand in China May Gain to Record, Bullion Bourse Says

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:27 on October 26, 2015

Gold consumption in mainland China may match or exceed the record in 2013 after financial-market turmoil and the yuan’s devaluation boosted the metal’s appeal, according to the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society, which also saw higher sales at jewelers in Hong Kong.

Buying in mainland China, which vies with India as the world’s largest consumer, picked up after the stock-market turmoil this year and August’s surprise devaluation, according to Haywood Cheung, chairman of the supervisory committee at the century-old bullion bourse. Demand in Hong Kong may expand 25 percent this half after a lackluster first six months, he said in an interview.

Gold prices are lower in 2015 following two years of losses on prospects for higher U.S. interest rates. The decline in 2013, when bullion sank 28 percent, spurred increased buying across Asia, and 2015 is shaping up well and may surpass that year’s total, according to Cheung. The yuan was devalued in the third quarter to bolster the nation’s competitiveness, and policy makers have also acted to stem a stock-market rout.
