silverngold, thanks for posting that long term gold log chart at 22:35 and earlier.

Posted by Equisetum @ 23:49 on July 23, 2014

I have no trouble visualizing an easy run to $2300 for gold in the time-line indicated on that chart, and then a run to much higher than that in the months and years ahead. Good stuff, and much appreciated. Equiz.

Dang, slipped on a taco wrapper. Worse than a banana peel.

PS I emailed Deadeye to give him a head start

His Chronicals are an important part of Goldtent History

Glad to see he is busy collecting them .

Dear Gary, Thank you for your thoughtful reminder. Indeed You have always been kind
and helpful on everything. I’m sure I can’t even imagine the hours it took to make the
links and arrange the Deadeye Chronicles. I also realize AutoDept spend endless hours
of free work for the tent. I am sad about the current situation and I wish you both good
luck, Love and happiness going forward.
Best Regards, Harry (Deadeye)
PS: I will copy all of the Deadeye chronicles before Friday. H

Long Term Gold Log Chart

Posted by silverngold @ 22:35 on July 23, 2014

I posted this chart a couple days ago while all the “hi-fivin” and hoopla of meeting old friends at the new Oasis was going on. Don’t know if anyone looked at it but it is a giveaway IMO. I know, it just looks like a bunch of parallel lines, but if you enlarge the chart and look a little closer you’ll see that it is actually three sets of pitchforks that all start at the beginning of this gold bull…..so the first point of all three pitchforks starts at $253.20.

Now you tell me what the odds are of having each of the three major corrections in this gold bull make a pitchfork that is so exact that the center line on each pitchfork is the same; one laid over the next laid over the next??? I know, just random coincidences??? ……or is this gold bull on a short leash and totally under control?????

I know…..it is of little interest if all you are doing is day trading the ETF’s, but if you are a serious PM investor you might want to take a closer look!!  All the best from silverngold.

Lol, she sounds like a treasure!  Lots of animals are smarter than their owners, don’t feel bad.  What you want to do is put the charts on the floor and ask her to go to the one that has the greatest potential.  🙂

How about a picture?

When Gold Moves

Posted by AspenGold @ 20:33 on July 23, 2014

it should move up with the dollar contrary to what most will look for. We need it to move up in all currencies for the real bull in gold to take hold.  Of course this is not my opinion, but that of Marty A.  It seems to make sense to to me, who cares what the Euro does.

Wanka…It’s still there, I checked it out on the net…and still looking good.  When I lived in Bergen County I used to picnic along the Hudson in Palisades Park, what an interesting place.  And endured the weekend traffic to swim at Seaside and Point Pleasant.  But the best was Long Beach Island.  I guess with all that traveling you saw most of the state and enjoyed many of the fine dining.  To this day I have not found better restaurants in either Florida or Georgia that could equal those of N.J.  Newark wasn’t alone in a downturn, look at Camden…gads!

@ Ipso…thank you.

I have a border collie that carries sticks like that she balances them and runs with them until she finds another one.  I have logs laying all over my field. Then she jumps up as high as she can and grabs a limb on a tree and hangs there until she finally lets go or the branch breaks. She is one heck of a cow dog in the mountains I do things chasing cows on foot with her that I would normally never attempt without a horse. The only problem is she is smarter than I am. I wonder if I could get her to read gold charts for me.

Freeport says Indonesia exports could resume soon

July 23 (Reuters) – Freeport-McMoRan Inc said on Wednesday it expects to “imminently” sign an agreement with Indonesia that would enable it to immediately resume copper concentrate exports which have been halted for more than six months.

Freeport said on July 8 it had agreed on a draft memorandum of understanding but had not signed it. At the time, it gave no time frame on when it would resume exports. Indonesia introduced a mineral ore export ban and a steep export tax in January.

Islamic State Selling Iraqi Oil To Finance ‘Caliphate’

Posted by ipso facto @ 18:22 on July 23, 2014

It blows my mind that anyone in the area would be profiting in this trade, buying oil from these fanatics. I guess for some, greed conquers all.

Seems like these trucks full of oil would be sitting ducks from the air.

Lol, I had one of those poke and prods yesterday.  Got an earful from the doc about how the gov’t is ruining a physician’s ability to heal his patient so that the new doctors are not opening practices but are hiring on at hospitals, which doesn’t bode well for folks if less capable doctors are available.

The only place in the Oranges that I visited was The Manor, in W. Orange…ever eaten there?  Elegant place, gourmet food.

Yes, my child lives close to the top of N.J., near where she was raised.  About people not knowing (at least back then) about the mountains in Jersey, it kept the area a lot more pristine so I was just as happy to let them snicker and equate the state to the turnpike.

Here’s a pic of my daughter’s silver Terv.

I agree to not having people split up but to each their own. As long as this site doesn’t wind up a being used by some as a continuum of soliciting for profit for the old site for a pay site.  My understanding was the information was freely shared then started to turn into something else and why the necessity to move among taking bandwith to do it.  If people need that kind of service so be it but doesn’t belong here and I can see where that’s going.

Not to worry

Its all good

Goldtent and Oasis are 2 different sites on 2 different servers with 2 different teams

The Tent is taking a well deserved vacation

But will soon re emerge like a phoenix from the ashes of a once and future thriving community

No Competition

Some will certainly enjoy both sites

Hi Everyone

Posted by eeos @ 16:13 on July 23, 2014

Wanks I love the new site. I’d love to come up with some fun new artwork for you soon. I was sad to see you guys duke-ing it out. I love you all and hated to see things go south. I’m excited about what Fully may have in store soon too. I honestly could never see Rambus wanting to take advantage of anyone at the tent. Rambus is one of the good guys IMHO, not the bad. This is where he started (okay it was actually at GE), I highly doubt he’d try to pull one over on us with bad intentions. Everyone has worked hard for these sites to exist. In some ways, we’re writing history here. Yes I can be negative, and will try to not go there as much. Great to see so many posters come out of the woodwork again.

Thanks for everyone’s efforts, contributions, analysis, opinions, facts, etc. It always been fun to read all the thoughts that are out there. eeos

iPhone’s Backdoor

Posted by ipso facto @ 15:02 on July 23, 2014

A security expert has warned Apple’s iOS software contains potentially sinister tools that could be used by governments to spy on iPhone and iPad users.

Speaking at the ‘Hackers on planet Earth’ conference in New York, Jonathan Zdziarski said that most users are unaware of the lack of protection for iPhone data.

He added files found hidden within the firm’s software contain a file-relay service that can be used to access the user’s address book, photos, voicemail and any accounts configured on the device.

However, Apple has denied the claims the backdoor was created deliberately for government or surveillance purposes.

It’s not just Gold that is being “controlled”, its every major mkt that has any ability to act as a road map.

Bonds and the SM in particular are under 24/7 control. This is done via outright mkt tradeing and fixing the rules to suit see below. it will only end in the PM when either they run out of Metal, or a big enough crisis turns up, that blows their games apart. Seeing how dumb our leaders are, that may not be far off.
