I dropped a note to you on “that old site” about MH17…sumpin about making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
What are these crackerjacks up to?
Lagarde’s references to July 20 and all the accompanying numerology, are the G20 meeting this weekend? G being the 7th letter of the alphabet (soup).
But yeah wish I’d taken your route, wouldn’t have to put the 1 in when adressing you.

So you were the one who turned me on to Stupice. Thank you very much! I really like them early and tasty yum yum. 🙂
I went to high school at Lake Tahoe. Have always loved the Gold Country of CA. Too bad the Golden State has gone so far off course.

Actually, if I had to describe the taste it would be a cheeseburger without the burger. I use tomatoes, mozzarella and sharp cheddar cheese, a handful of fresh basil and a sprinkle of oregano. Pretty dang tasty when you are looking for something a little different.
Next experiment will be a peach pie now that they are coming in season. ( Read that as cheap) So if you have an old family recipe you would like to share…..?
Music and cooking is how I pass my time while waiting for the Gold Train. That’s my secret to sanity. Farmboy

PS I’m growing a bunch of “Trail of Tears” Black Beans. They’re doing great so far. I’m sure you are familiar with the story.

Sounds like you’ve been having a great year in your garden. That’s how it’s supposed to be. I get tired of weeding too … at least when the veggies are big it’s not such a problem.
“Zucchini bread” That sounds delightful! 🙂

Our IT person decided not to support the Tent anymore. If you looked up Goldtent.com on Google it leads to a joke of a homepage and then if you click on the “forum” it goes to a “This page can’t be displayed” error message. It’s been this way for several months. If you didn’t have the old link then you were out of luck.

I’ve been giving away okra, tomatoes, jalapeños, 3 kinds of squash, green and wax beans, and very soon, watermelons. I would have started earlier but winter just wouldn’t leave.
im getting tired of the weeding and rototilling. The disc may come before the frost. All the wildlife that suffered during the extended drought seems to be making a comeback. I especially am anxious to see how the bobwhite quail recover. They were really decimated. The wild hogs and whitetail deer seem to be impervious to the weather.
I’ll have a big piece of zucchini bread in our honor!

I’m that tadpole!
Course I had an epiphany when no one responded to my MH17 theories. I thot everyone was out buying canned food.
Thanks to Equise for confirming my inkling

In the letter, you wrote that the situation at the old site was “preventing PP from future growth as it has been for many months isolated from internet usage for new posters.” What does that mean, “isolated from new posters?”
Farmboy, the idea of a tomato pie is kinda scary to me, but I appreciate the suggestion. Does it taste like tomatoes??

Catch some Zzzzz’s Nemo, but you have coffee duty in the morning. 🙂
Goldcountry, I would love to drop by your kitchen and lend a hand. Speaking of pies, I tried this one a few weeks back and was quite surprised how good it was. It’s a keeper recipe in my book. I had never heard of a Tomato Pie. I wanted to freeze a couple to eat this winter when my tomato cravings can get severe. But I cant keep one on the kitchen countertop long enough to get it to the freezer. (grin)

No no that’s not sad it’s great! Very early for this location. Some years the summer’s so cool we get hardly any at all and those in August or so. I’m looking forward to drowning in tomatoes and my friends and neighbors are going to be lucky as well. 🙂
PS This early bearer is a “Stupice.” Very nice tasting tomato.
