All about the Crimex?
No follow through today. Dollar and rates moving up some and SM down some. Silver down a couple bucks and gold down $35.
Not sure why the big bump yesterday in silver, unless there’s something going on that is specific to Crimex, but I sorta doubt that.
So, we’re going to give some back today. Will be watching the shares to see how much.
I saw Bullionstar is selling silver eagles of random years for spot, never seen that before from any dealer.
They must be loaded up to the gills with them. Says to me that the general public dumped everything they had on the big rally of the last year. Doesn’t appear we’re going to get any help from them this time around.
My old dealer is paying well under spot for silver of all kinds as well.
The shortages must be purely industrial at this point.

I expected the PMs to go up today but then what. Metals no longer speculative but strategic and necessary but can still be short term volatile. This war is interrupting the natural flow of things and most annoying. Especially when you see it sell off over night when the market is closed.

The war might end in a week or maybe a year. The world is in a precarious place, economically and militarily.
It looked like in the Iranian proposal they were willing to give up some of their enriched uranium … to someone else but not to us. I guess that’s progress.
Trump and the Mullahs both think they’re the one winning. It’s like in poker when two players each have really good hands they keep raising the stakes.

All that convexity seemed to show up between 8 – 9 am EST today. Not often do we see moves like that to the upside. I don’t know if a note from a bank came out and someone just went all-in at once or someone puked. Either way, let’s hope they keep it going!

Ipso – I don’t know what he’ll say to Xi. He probably should ask him to pressure Iran to open the strait, because Xi needs that strait open too. I think his ego is too big to do that though. Trump needs an out IMHO. If he could have just waited a couple years while we got our own house in order, it would’ve been much better. What a mess.
