The image is Rainbow Falls, on the Waianuenue River just upslope of downtown Hilo.  The falls is 80 ft. high and just recently a ‘pro’ Kayaker with a helmet cam went over that falls!  He was highly experienced and waited until the water level was adequate and went over with no injury.  But he said  “don’t try this”.  The video was exciting, though!

After South Africa’s embattled president Jacob Zuma pledged, in a surprising address to parliament one month ago, to break up white ownership of business and land to reduce inequality (in a State of the Nation address which was disrupted by a fistfight), it now appears that Zuma’s intentions to convert what was until recently Africa’s most prosperous economy into a new Zimbabwe were all too real, and as the Telegraph reports, the South African president officially called on parliament to change South Africa’s constitution to allow the expropriation of white owned land without compensation.

Zuma, 74, who made the remarks in a speech on Friday morning, said he wanted to establish a “pre-colonial land audit of land use and occupation patterns” before changing the law.

I’m seeing a lot of non denial, denials out the from the Obozo team. Clapper said yesterday that no one in his agency “tapped Trump” however he didn’t go so far as to say they didn’t tap the “Trump campaign” or his surrogates.

Further, Obozo’s boy Ben Rhoades said “the President doesn’t order wire taps” however he does not state that wire taps of the Trump campaign “weren’t ordered”.

Thirty miles is a bit of a trek; I don’t know how adventurous I am, had  browsed that site a few days ago.  My problem is that I’m a lover of Earl Grey Tea and don’t know if I could give up my daily breakfast beverage…and I’m quite well stocked up on herbal tea.  I was just curious if you lived nearby…am glad to hear that you are as safe as can be, considering the increase in earthquake and volcanic activity.  Take care.

…at Kilauea summit area.  Little 2.5 shakers… strongest was a 3.9.  I didn’t feel any of them 30 miles away.  Geologists attribute this to ‘settling’ of the shelf that Kilauea sits on.  It could be a precursor to a change in eruptive activity, but the Kilauea summit crater is already active with a lava lake, and the east rift zone at Pu’u O’o is erupting also.

Back in the 1860’s a strong earthquake struck the area as the shelf and tens of miles of shoreline suddenly dropped many feet, drowning a small hawaiian village along the coastline.  The whole area south of Kilauea and the east rift could potentially slide into the sea.

I made sure I’m well north of the possible rift or fracture zone.  If that whole shelf slides into the ocean like a giant wedge, Honolulu would have 20 minutes before the 100 foot wave swallows the city.  California would have 5 hours warning before the Tsunami.  And Maya would likely be flat on the ground, hugging a rock, high and dry.
