Loading ...Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana caused quite the controversial when he decided to speak out against Muslim support groups accusing him of “fear-mongering” by proposing a ban on those who support radical Islam.
Jindal appeared on Fox News’ “The Kelly File” where he was sure to state that “there are many Muslims who are proud patriotic Americans” and he is only focused on “those who want to use our freedoms to undermine the freedoms of others.”
“Who decides how far into Shariah law you have to be?” Kelly asked Jindal. “Who decided who’s a radical Islamist and who’s just an Islamist?”
Jindal’s answer was matter-of-fact: the line needs to be drawn when beliefs infringe upon the freedoms of another.
“You don’t have the right to come here and say, for example, that you think women should be treated as second class citizens,” he responded. “You don’t have the right to say others don’t have the same freedoms we give you”
