Loading ...I gave this pep talk to FB in his liquid induced depths of despair several years ago. It takes the experience of the aged to make a better world for the loved ones after. It takes men and women of BG and FB stature to make right.
It is up to our generation to make a difference for two hence. I have four kids from 16-32, only one of which has a clue. Aside from the one that “understands”, all I’m planning for is one Grandkid, with another on the way.
We can’t fight the system, we can only prepare for the next one.
I’m reading a book, Above the Salt, that starts out in the 12 century. It takes 100 years (or four generations) to get to the individual rights set out in the Magna Carta of 1215, 800 years ago. It is up to us to build those blocks, for no obvious earthly rewards.
My family name is a prominent fixture and signatory. Apparently history rhymes.
