Good uptick volume in GDX and GDXJ at the close
I guess ya never know. 🙂
Hello Nemo !! Dang It’s Good To See You Brother !
We had a judge here in the U.S. some years back that was trying some sort of Porno case in his courtroom and made a statement along the lines of ” I cant define it (porno) but I know it when I see it.” (grin) Now that is about how I feel toward art in general. I don’t know much about it, but I know what I like. This young lady has an eye for capturing life in action and putting it on canvas. I have already found several that when things get a little better on the financial side I would like to purchase. And her prices seem reasonable.
As far as ‘investing’ in her works I doubt they ever bring any monetary returns worth speaking of, but I figure its hard to put a price on a few minutes of inner peace and beauty these days. Besides, I think I heard someone tell me to diversify my portfolio so that’s that. 🙂
Just for the record, I don’t know the woman (Mary Maxam) or have any financial interests with her. Just thought some of the Oasis gang might enjoy a mental break and appreciate something other than a chart to look at. (grin)
Always a pleasure to see and hear from you. If I remember right your ‘white month’ is about up. I’m thinking of going for two in a row. Kinda feeling better these days after the break. Oh yeah, I have some rhubarb left over from a pie the other day whats your secret for making that rhubarb lemonade. Kinda like to try it.
Best, Farmboy

Hey Saber, welcome back and good to see you are still alive, how did we all survive anyways?……..
ps I am not sure I really did.
Farmboy…. now you did it again!!!
will probably buy some paintings instead of gold… but what is the difference!!
NEMO
Been away for a long time. Buy them all
Some of you may recognize the handle.
Buy them all. Anything that mines gold, buy it. If it has gold in its name, buy it.
Buy silver. Buy palladium. Buy calls, sell puts. Texas hedge them all. It is here and it is now.
How high this sector goes I cannot say but if Amazon can trade at 100PE for a decade then imagine what a miner could do?
The preposterous downside callers in gold have not a chance.
Remember this: In a rising rate environment only gold stocks outperform due to the contango. Remember that in the years to come.
That is all.

I agree with your friend, these things take up way too much of our time. I have a few paintings that will help take you away from all this. Ready to do some Basque Dancing? Check out these paintings from an artist up in Idaho. Meet Ms Mary Maxam. I am a new fan of her work.

Seems problems everywhere. My daughter in law just mentioned she’s beginning to hate these things. Causes frustration.

US-Israeli Relationship In Jeopardy, Kerry “Ruined Everything”
Tyler Durden’s pictureSubmitted by Tyler Durden on 07/28/2014 13:51 -0400
Another red line crossed? As AP reports, Obama administration officials were fuming Monday over a torrent of Israeli criticism of Secretary of State John Kerry’s latest bid to secure a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. Israeli media commentators have leveled almost nonstop criticism at Kerry in recent days over his attempts to bring Qatar and Turkey — two countries viewed by Israel as strong Hamas supporters — into the cease-fire negotiations – “U.S. Secretary of State of State John Kerry ruined everything.” The White House is not happy – in unusually harsh language, officials said the criticism of Kerry could put the relationship between the U.S. and Israel in jeopardy. They also said the personal attacks on Kerry crossed a line.

Not necessarily that it won’t be fixed today, but plague you from time to time it will. Interesting that you would use the word “plague” because Pluto rules plagues, lol.
Definitely send Vito. ![]()

Britain’s Lloyds Banking Group has agreed to pay fines totaling $370 million to U.S. and British authorities investigating its part in a global interest rate rigging scandal and manipulating fees for a UK government lending scheme.
The settlement is the seventh joint penalty handed out by American and British regulators in connection with the attempted manipulation of the London interbank offered rate, or Libor, and other similar benchmarks used to price around $450 trillion of financial products worldwide. The misconduct related to Libor rates for sterling, the U.S. dollar, and Japanese yen. …
