Gold mining giant Sibanye Gold Limited says it is considering making some significant investments in the platinum sector as it seeks to diversify and expand its portfolio.
Company spokesman James Wellsted told The Weekly in a telephone interview Monday that the company which is among the top 10 gold producers in the world was seriously considering venturing into platinum mining because it believed it had a good operating model which could fit well into that sector.
