Bear trap?

Posted by Buygold @ 17:36 on June 7, 2024

Not sure I’ve ever seen one in the pm sector. Would be nice to see and a big surprise. There wasn’t a lick of covering into the close. A little in the AH, but they have the metals on the ropes, hard to see any positive movement especially going into the Fed meeting.

After 23 years, I still know nothing.

Yes, I don’t see this intervention lasting long.

They will get caught in the lies as they always do.

Good weekend all.

Get out and enjoy nature.

And I think the ever growing roles of CTA’s help to exacerbate and manufacture bigger “swings” in financial assets.

How many times, over the years, have we heard that the metals are being sold to “raise cash?”

CTAs use a variety of techniques to generate profits for their clients. These strategies can include trend-following, mean reversion, and discretionary trading. Trend-following CTAs identify and exploit trends in the market, while mean reversion CTAs look for instances where asset prices deviate from their long-term averages and aim to profit from their subsequent reversion.

Possible Bear Trap, Re Gold and Silver??

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 15:37 on June 7, 2024

A bear trap occurs when the price of a financial asset appears to be on a steady decline. This leads investors to expect a further drop, and they short-sell to profit from the continuing downtrend. The trap is now set: instead of continuing to fall, the price suddenly reverses and goes back up.

Comment: We’ve seen that a few times lately. Today it just seems more extreme. Maybe because its Friday and futures traders are afraid to hold during a weekend.

I think the same thing happened with Nat Gas etf BOIL. It started climbing, then started falling, and it reversed. I bought some on the first up day, on 6/3 and I’m up 13%. So far LOL.

Tks for that

I still see the action here as a bull flag consolidation……in a large bull mkt.

and I agree that Silver will be swinging over 10 % on a daily basis soon, as we are already seeing 4/5 % moves here…..

Adobe, yep big backlash over privacy. Now trying to back track they just want limited access claiming to improve their services. Yeah sure. Have a nice weekend. Ive got a date for crab stuffed lobster dish I can’t turn down.

That’s because the technology bubble must be maintained at all costs.

The tell this morning was that bitcon was up.

All the trouble is isolated to the PMs in raids like this.

The tech bubble is just fine … no really.

China not showing their gold buying is like the phony jobs number … it’s (politically / economically) expedient … given the (geopo0litical) backdrop … think BRICS, Tiawan, etc. … they are not stupid enough to poke Western agents if they don’t have to while they are doing it.

Plus, they are still accumulating, which is better at lower prices.

If Chen Lin is right … the true silver demand is much higher than Western officials will admit.

$50 Silver Target, 500mn Ounce Deficit – Watch This Trend! | Chen Lin – YouTube

And this should become apparent as the year presses on … maybe by next month.

Have a good one.

This downtrend is what the PM shares are fighting…..

Probably right.

But the good news is that the SM is coming back!

This has happened so many times over the last 20 years, I’ve sort of gotten numb to it.

I have no idea about a hot war starting, or whether the Fed will cut or raise. I just have pretty much resigned myself to the reality that pm’s will go nowhere really until either the Crimex goes bust or the country/world goes mad max, in a mad max situation most of us older folks are dead pretty quickly.

I spend most of my time working on what happens after I’m gone from this world.

You guys all have a great weekend.

The correction …

Posted by Captain Hook @ 9:52 on June 7, 2024

… in the Gold / Silver Ratio should be completed soon …

GLD:SLV | SharpCharts | StockCharts.com

It does not need to correct anymore past today’s advance.

Of course it might … but the trend change is already established … where a weekly close below 75 should prove a game changer.

Cheers all

The jobs numbers are a bunch of BS as usual. Even the downward revisions that will surely come won’t recapture the degree of BS.

That said, they sure are getting desperate. Gotta keep that crappy silver below $30 at all costs.

Good sign for us.

With the war in Europe now transitioning from proxy to the real deal, they don’t want gold setting off any flares for a braindead public. (now you know why the chemtrails)

That said, it’s war … and the response from a growing opposition should be expected – maybe Sunday night.

Anything that can go down $60 can go up $100 – especially if that is the natural trend.

It’s a psyop that is really a buying opportunity – a buyop.

Cheers all

Looks like the jobs numbers must have been really good?

Posted by Buygold @ 8:43 on June 7, 2024

The knee jerk is to hit the sell button certainly in pm’s as they are getting crushed even worse. The dollar is soaring. So, they must have found a whole bunch of new jobs somewhere.

As usual, a sad commentary on our little pm market. They sucked players in yesterday and spit them out today. All gains in silver wiped out, more than just the gains wiped out in gold, and no doubt the shares will give it all up with the HUI blasting below the 50 day with gold.

It certainly will never end as long as the US has command over our market.

Our rulers are the bad guys.

According to Zerohedge…the AU is selling today , is tks to China not buying any gold last month !!!!!!

Posted by Maddog @ 8:40 on June 7, 2024

China showed it’s Gold reserves Unch last month…this caused the sell off…..like China always tells the truth and if it wasn’t China buying..then who was it…not that we will ever be told.

Anyone still buying the phyzz

What I’m waiting for

Posted by goldielocks @ 8:07 on June 7, 2024

Is the homeless setting up their tents in the wealthy districts golf courses next. Places like Delaware, Maine, Connecticut, the park in NY city, maybe a few country clubs across the Midwest and Northern states where they just love the Demoncraps. Just wait till they start taking up house keeping in all those empty boats that are just sitting there.

Posted by goldielocks @ 7:36 on June 7, 2024

I wouldn’t be surprised if the jobs numbers were bad with the nit wits who lost touch with reality on a drug fest of something permanently. They don’t even try to hide it anymore but what they do try to hide is the cesspools that used to be city’s that they caused. Even Beverly Hills shopping and restaurant district is closing or closed down and their woke kiddie porn  garbage they tried to feed the public are losing money which hurts the cinemas if they keep putting out that crap no one’s gonna waist their time or money let alone bring their kids. Yes there’s always idiots but it won’t be enough to support the neutral cinemas. I guess the good directors have aged out and the idiot woke drive off the good writers so they can try to shove their garbage down peoples throat while their bad ideas just ruin another industry and more jobs. Better off rolling it up and adding it to what their already smoking.

I don’t think gold should go anywhere except in a sideways to up in the coming months but who knows what going on behind the curtain.

This is interesting

Posted by Buygold @ 6:41 on June 7, 2024

No surprise London is covering for Crimex.

I guess the jobs numbers are going to be really bad here in the states this am, so they need to get a jump on any potential rally? There’s nothing fundamental going on, no big move in the dollar or rates.

Once again though, the shares sort of told the tale. They should have been up much more yesterday.

If this holds up throughout the day, GLD will actually close below its 50 day. That would be crazy.

I’m also wondering if this might be the beginning of massive volatility like they had in the 79-80 period. Not sure a healthy market would have this type of swing, but I have no idea.

We almost never come back on days like this, would be quite something if we did.
