Loading ...In mid 1970’s I lived in Anchorage Alaska. Everyone was lamenting the gas crisis. Limited to a couple gallons that was soon to run out. I was having a coffee with a friend who was a VP for a major oil company and I was lamenting this terrible fuel shortage. He told me “don’t worry about it, this crisis is about over” I asked him how he knew??? He said “every storage facility is full! Every oil tanker is full! They can’t hold it back any longer and they now have the price where they wanted it to go. This was NEVER about a oil shortage. It was only about the price”. And within a few days the crisis was over and everything returned to normal….except the price which was multiples of what is was before the crisis.
