Loading ...ororeef has a great point. I too have found in business to do quality work and keep ones word is the top of the list of behavior. I broke monopolies and built 2 taxi companies here a maxi-taxi and a sun cab with a merger of the latter into the license of the former. within 2 years 1985-6-7 I had 1/2 the entire industry partly because the citizenery loved maxi-taxi [van system of shared ride] and sun cab [private meter system] and partly cause I was a pirate and would refuse to let a monopoly stand! made good press saying things like ‘no one tells me what business I can or can’t be in …in my own country! see what I mean…sounds great and the intention is kick ass and take no prisoners. I sold in 1989 and my predisessor ran maxi-taxi and sold in 1999 and today the entire cab fleet of maxi-taxi [20] and five 6’s [25] and contract vans [5] are for sale and all I can say is I wish the current owners luck since uber is in town and got arrested but it ain’t gona hold up. uber has the ear of the state house and has lobbied to inplant a paragraph in the motor vehicle for hire state law allowing it in any municipality. period checkmate! I said reciently to the fellow I had sold the company to that this is a bad time to be in the taxi business as we know it. oh well just another tidbit from life. cheers and salutations!
