Good to see you up and running and seem to be feeling better. At least you have enough hot air to blow my way! 🙂

Maya – how dare you show some of Wanka’s prepping goodies! I’ll bet every can of stinking Chili he has in the basement says “THIS IS IT!!!” 🙂 🙂

Wanka is one scary dude, that’s all I know. When you get locked down under 300 ft. of water with a bunch of smelly men then there’s no way you’ll come out sane!

Gold Daily and Silver Weekly Charts – Cup and Handle – How Sweet It Is

“After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this: it never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It was always my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight!

Those who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon. I found it one of the hardest things to learn.”

Jesse Livermore
I had such a feeling that these jokers were going get stuffed on the usual Non-Farm Payrolls precious metals hit. And I may have had some modest wagers in that direction from this morning.

But for most of us, and for most of my own portfolio, we do not wager against The Bucket Shop and exhaust ourselves trying to play their short term wiggles, dodges and headfakes with their synthetic gold.

We ‘get right and sit tight.’ And I am seeing confirmation after confirmation that the fundamentals on the precious metals are solid, to be understated about it perhaps when so many will be going hyperbolic.

There are still difficulties, and things could turn rather ugly on the political fronts. Who can predict that sort of thing? But based on the knowable, things are unfolding in a very rational manner for those who can see past the noisome rantings of the financiers and their economic status quo.

One might take measures to get their metals into more appropriate places for ‘insurance.’ And that means out of any unallocated accounts, or places presided over by the bullion banks and their associates, where ownership could become a debating point under duress, as in the case of MF Global.

If Nick Laird’s analysis of the ‘gold float’ is correct, then we should start seeing fireworks on the physical front sometime later this year.

I have drawn the beginnings of the ‘cup and handle’ on the chart. The ‘handle’ will form on the right, and will take the shape of a retracement from wherever the top of the cup may be.

It will not be an active formation until the retest is successful, the handle is set, and the price of gold breaks back out to new highs.

That is a lot of things that may or may not happen from here.

But for now I will just say, have a pleasant weekend.

Sandridge

Posted by redneckokie1 @ 13:11 on February 6, 2016

i very seldom tout a stock of any kind but Sandridge may have some real potential . Oil and gold historically move in the same direction unless the invisible hand is doing something stupid. Sandridge is currently trading around $.035. There is a very good reason for that. Heavy debt load and cheap oil and natural gas.

If Sandridge can weather the storm, it could very well be a $10. stock @ $70. oil. This is a very high risk investment but the potential reward is staggering.

Due diligence is required but the management is very capable of pulling it off.

My Eyes!

Posted by Maya @ 12:00 on February 6, 2016

After Wanka posted “Bubbles the Enforcer” I need some eye bleach!  What has been seen cannot be UNseen.

WANKA I am still having connection problems to the Oasis while using the TOR network.  I suspect the HostMantis server here has a list of TOR “output servers” and routinely rejects connections from them.  Most times when I try to access the Oasis via TOR it just fails to connect at all.  That is an internet problem, not just a login problem on the Oasis.  Right now is only the second time I have been able to connect and access the Oasis over months of trying almost daily.  It could be that this is a new TOR output site (Netherlands) that has not yet made it to the “Reject List” that HostMantis seems to use to reject connections from TOR.    So it may be a looong time before you see me again.

COMMISH:  My Pahoa retirement property is in escrow!  Eat your heart out.  It will be a rental for a few years until I’m ready to move there.  Still sitting out Unemployment.  I may yet be a Walmart greeter to make it to full retirement!  Oh, wait… Walmart is closing stores, too.

And so, by popular demand I guess I better leave a train here, too.  I suspect MOGGY will like this one.  Blessings, Dear Lady!  🙂

sorry you missed the sight gag.

One picture is worth a thousand words. Anybody get it??

Posted by silverngold @ 10:33 on February 6, 2016

This photo (above) shows the full story behind the so-called ‘refugees at risk of drowning’ stories in our media, with babies being held up high, out of the deep water. As the man on the top far right shows, far from being at risk of drowning, the ‘swimmers’ are in mere feet of water, and could stand up and walk out on to the beach if they wanted to.

What we were actually shown on television and the papers was just the area within the white box. In any kind of theatre, context is everything

R640 – random thoughts on the passing parade

Posted by Buygold @ 9:41 on February 6, 2016

yeah, could be a good week. but we’re a little overbought right now don’t you think? Silver still needs to break above the 200 dma to confirm but if it does it could easily bust up to $16.50 in a hurry.

I have no doubt there’ll be an attempt to smash us next week – they failed on Friday so I suspect that Hornet’s nest has been kicked and they’ll look to attack.

If this is the real deal, I guess the pullbacks should be short, and the dips will be bought.

The USD is the wild card and it didn’t exactly close strong yesterday.

I’m a beaten down goldbug and am always waiting for the other shoe to drop. We’ll see.

Just looking at the late day action & especially the volume that came in=next week could be explosove for gold

Posted by Richard640 @ 9:13 on February 6, 2016

NUGT’s range Friday was $33 to a close of $43…

Of course there’s always the FEEEELTH…but it sure looks like “recognition time”–with that jobs report on Friday, investors must really be thinking there really is  nowhere to go but gold–what with negative yields and possible buy-ins & another 2008 collapse possible…we’ve all heard this all before and had gold inexplicably fizzle and stocks soar…so we know not to order Chinchilla coats for our wives just yet….but Friday was awesome…

Hey tree frog

Posted by eeos @ 3:21 on February 6, 2016

Let’s not fantasize about a collapse. If an event like that happens, city slickers are leaving with guns headed out of cities. It will be full on chaos. There will be no place to escape or hide. It’s going to be a giant free for all. Who needs reservations when you have ammo?

The Worm has Turned

If the Fed continues its Fed Funds rise ..that could be a signal that it intends to leave Gold alone to find its level the market gives it.

Then it uses FFunds as a way to Sterilize the inflationary effects of a Gold rise..after all they did say they wanted some inflation !

So it appears we are in for a fed Funds balancing ACT vis- a -vie Gold …
