    FBI Blew It on San Bernardino Shooter Password

    You have probably heard about the contretemps between the FBI and Apple over the San Bernardino shooter’s iPhone. The FBI can’t get through the encryption, so they’re demanding Apple give them a modified version of the iPhone software that will break all encryption.

    Well, the Friday Data Dump, when the Feds release embarrassing info, is that it was the FBI themselves — or a county technician working for them, the finger-pointing is getting epic — that changed the password on the phone, and then forgot the password they changed it to, locking themselves out.
