Volks has a Point

Posted by Ororeef @ 4:11 on September 27, 2015

If a car gets 30% more MPG dos  it create less pollution than a vehicle with Pollution devices on it  that gets 30 % less MPG ?

I have had this debate with my SON in California .I rented a Ford  (2015)in Virginia and got 37 mpg average  .

He owned one of  exact same model and year in California and got 25 mpg   ..Question considering the COST of  the pollution creating the devices used and the pollution  created manufacturing  and mining of materials used to manufacture them and extra costs for designer fuel ..Which is less polluting ? When you consider totol pollution created ?  never mind the EXTRA COST…I say the car with the better mileage creates less harm..

If a volks diesel gets 30 % better mileage  who does m0re harm for the same miles driven?
