Loading ...You may be right. I made the assumption that the ‘pound’ would be the standard english measure of 16 ounces. Did the ‘pound sterling’ creation predate the ‘troy’ measurement system? I dunno… Maybe maddog knows his local history better.
Either way… 16 or 12… it’s a goodly chunk of silver, and worth more than the present day ‘paper pound’.
