Heavily armed drug cops raid retiree’s garden, seize okra plants

Georgia police declare war on okra

Georgia police raided a retired Atlanta man’s garden last Wednesday after a helicopter crew with the Governor’s Task Force for Drug Suppressionspotted suspicious-looking plants on the man’s property. A heavily-armed K9 unit arrived and discovered that the plants were, in fact, okra bushes.

The officers eventually apologized and left, but they took some of the suspicious okra leaves with them for analysis. Georgia state patrol told WSB-TV in Atlanta that “we’ve not been able to identify it as of yet. But it did have quite a number of characteristics that were similar to a cannabis plant.”

Indeed! Like cannabis, okra is green and it has leaves.

Okra busts like these are good reason for taxpayers to be skeptical about the wisdom of sending guys up in helicopters to fly around aimlessly, looking for drugs in suburban gardens. And that’s not to mention the issue of whether we want a society where heavily-armed cops can burst into your property, with no grounds for suspicion beyond what somebody thought he saw from several hundred yards up in a helicopter.

Marijuana eradication programs, like the one that sent the helicopter up above the Georgia man’s house, are typically funded partly via the Drug Enforcement Agency’s Cannabis Eradication Program. Many of these funds come from the controversial asset forfeiture programs, which allow law enforcement officials to seize property from citizens never even charged – much less convicted – of a crime.

The Cannabis Eradication programs have historically inflated the size of their hauls by including non-psychoactive “ditchweed” in their totals of plants seized. In past years, ditchweed accounted for up to 98 percent of seized outdoor plant totals. According to the ONDCP, ditchweed still makes up an unspecified percent of outdoor plants seized.

It is also unclear how many of the seized plants are actually okra.

That’s a load off my mind

$Gold..Road Map

Posted by Samb @ 14:06 on March 4, 2015

Going back a month ago and then  several weeks thereafter, I mentioned buying Put options  as a  strategy to protect/profit during the upcoming Int. downtrend that was then commencing. By now, it should be acknowleged that we are indeed into  that downtrend. $1200 is a major resistance point now as it was on the way up. However, when we look at prior Int. down cycles we can easily see that we probably have 6 or more weeks to go yet.

With that much time to go then it is doubtful that $Gold $1150 will hold. $1100 has a chance yet on a weekly closing basis with a downside daily  punch thru that level and a V snapback. Once this is over then its time to take profits on the puts and buy calls. Surely not yet. March looks miserable …even up to mid-April tax time.

So you think you are going to sell your phiz

Posted by eeos @ 13:48 on March 4, 2015

my investing buddy says the following:

“If you exchange it  for dollars, then you take a loss immediately (if you live in the USA) as the IRS will take the increase in price at 28% plus your state may add another 5 or 10%. Then you begin taking losses as the dollar resumes its slide once again.”

I’ve never sold bullion, but that sounds like a rip off to me. So when people go to a coin shows, a dealer etc. and sell a coin who reports who?

And how about the part where I take losses after the dollar resumes it slide and losing money? Um hello when the dollar slides the price of gold usually goes up not down (recently this has not been true I know). Why the dollar and gold have this irrational relationship of high dollar, pretty high gold? It  tells me people around the world are hiding in dollars instead of euro.

The military has lots of vehicles and they don’t like to walk!

FWIW!! Thousands Of Military Vehicles Lined Up Outside Of Underground Bunkers In America – What Are They Preparing For Now?

By Stefan Stanford – All News Pipeline – Live Free Or Die

Susan Duclos and I took a great interest in the new videos below put out by YouTube videographer Professor Doom1 as we are actually SHOWN where many of the military vehicles on trains are going to across America, to US Army Depots which are spread out across the country. While this linked story from ABC10 about California’s Sierra Army Depot answer’s ONE of the ‘why’s’ there has been so much military movement here in America recently, our follow-up research has opened a totally new ‘Pandora’s Box’ that you can investigate yourself via the internet; we’ll tell you how below this ABC10 story clip ‘why’. :

America’s wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are winding down and billions of dollars of military equipment is coming home. That gear, from high-tech weapons systems to soldiers’ boots, is stored at dozens of military depots across the country. Sierra is one of those depots, occupying 36,000 acres of Lassen County high desert between Susanville and Reno.

Most depots have a specialty and Sierra’s is storing non-essential equipment. That is gear not included on a unit’s standard list of authorized equipment – things like night vision goggles, rifle scopes, radios and generators.

After watching Professor Doom’s videos, I decided to use Google Earth to check out a few of the US Army Depot’s myself to see what I could find out via the ever present ‘eye in the sky’…to say that I found a ‘few’ military vehicles would be a huge understatement. To see that military vehicles are lined up EVERYWHERE surrounding underground bunkers at the Red River Army Depot in Hooks, Texas, only begins the mystery.

While we KNOW that the Red River Army depot in Texas has historically been used as a location to store explosive ordinances underground, what we’ve found in the screenshots below bring up more questions than answers. WHY are there THOUSANDS of military vehicles lined up outside of these underground bunkers? Are they dropping off munitions to be stored there or are they picking up munitions for their ‘next battle’, possibly here in America? We also have to remember that many of these images for Google Earth were taken back in 2014…what is going on now? (You can check out all of these depots yourself by clicking on links to Google Earth). There are many more screenshots of what we’ve found below videos; we’d love to know what our readers think.

We’ve also heard reports of UFO activity near Red River Army Depot as well as one report of a possible underground prison system at this location. Is Red River Army Depot a secretive ‘NWO’ command center of some type?

RedRiverZoom.jpg

This next screenshot shows Red River Army Depot again further zoomed out…countless military vehicles surrounding underground bunkersthat you’ll see much more clearly upon zooming in seen next 2 images below it.

RedRiver3.jpg

RedRiver2.jpg

RedRiver4.jpg

This next screenshot is interesting as it shows the bunker roofs before they were covered over with grass.

RedRiverBunkerRoof.jpg

This screenshot shows the Red River Army Depot in its’ entirety. Storage of vehicles surrounding bunkers shown in more detail above is at middle/left of this screenshot.

RedRiverZoomedOut.jpg

The Letterkenny Army Depot in Pennsylvania also houses many military vehicles, though not near bunkers but out in the open.

Letterkenny.jpg

While Bluegrass Army Depot near Richmond, Kentucky also has the underground bunkers, presumably for the storage of munitions, we did not see any military vehicles lined up outside of their location on that particular day.

FWIW: Ten Things I Learned From People Who Survived Cancer

Posted by silverngold @ 10:49 on March 4, 2015

breast-anatomy

When I interviewed women who had survived breast cancer for my art project The Woman Inside, I noticed that they all shared one remarkable thing in common.

They had all faced down death and decided to live every day like it might be their last. And then they all beat cancer.

The more interviews I did, the more I noticed that these women were living differently than most of the people I knew who had not been diagnosed with cancer. Here’s what I learned from those survivor women. Learning these lessons changed my life, and I hope they’ll change yours.

10 Things I Learned From People Who Survive Cancer:

1.     Be unapologetically YOU.  People who survive cancer get feisty. They walk around bald in shopping malls and roll their eyes if people look at them funny.  They say what they think.  They laugh often. They don’t make excuses. They wear purple muumuus when they want to.

2.     Don’t take shit from people.  People who survive cancer stop trying to please everybody. They give up caring what everybody else thinks. If you might die in a year anyway (and every single one of us could), who gives a flip if your Great Aunt Gertrude is going to cut you out of her will unless you kiss her ass?

3.     Learn to say no. People with cancer say no when they don’t feel like going to the gala.  They avoid gatherings when they’d prefer to be alone. They don’t let themselves get pressured into doing things they really don’t want to do.

4.    Get angry. Then get over it. People who survive cancer get in your face. They question you. They feel their anger. They refuse to be doormats.  They demand respect. They feel it. Then they forgive. They let go. They surrender. They don’t stay pissed. They release resentment.

5.    Don’t obsess about beauty. People who survive cancer no longer worry about whether they have perfect hair, whether their makeup looks spotless, or whether their boobs are perky enough. They’re happy just to have boobs (if they still do). They’re happy to be alive in their skin, even if it’s wrinkled.

6.    Do it now.  Stop deferring happiness. People who survive cancer realize that you can’t wait until you kick the bucket to do what you’re dying to do. Quit that soul-sucking job now. Leave that deadbeat husband. Prioritize joy. They live like they mean it.

7.     Say “I love you” often.  People who survive cancer leave no words left unspoken. You never know when your time is up. Don’t risk having someone you love not know it.

8.    Take care of your body. People who survive cancer have a whole new appreciation for health. Those who haven’t been there may take it for granted. So stop smoking. Eat healthy. Drink in moderation. Maintain a healthy weight. Avoid putting toxic poisons in your God Pod. Get enough sleep.

9.    Prioritize freedom. People who survive cancer know that being a workaholic isn’t the answer. Money can’t buy health. Security doesn’t matter if you’re six feet under. Sixteen hours a day of being a stress monster is only going to make you sick. As Tim Ferriss writes in The 4-Hour Workweek, “Gold is getting old. The New Rich are those who abandon the deferred-life plan and create luxury lifestyles in the present using the currency of the New Rich: time and mobility.”

10.   Take risks. People who survive cancer have faced their fear and told it to go to hell. They know life is for living. Fear is powerless. And joy lies in taking risks. So go sky diving if you want. Bungee jump. Hang glide. Spend your savings.  Live like you might die tomorrow.

Are you doing these things? Or are you waiting for cancer to test out how much you want to live?

Don’t wait for cancer, my love. Don’t tempt the Universe that way.

Be brave enough to live NOW.

Because spirituality of the civilization is accomplished one individual at a time…it is a slow process due to the fact that some or all of our offspring fall by the wayside due to lack of knowledge of God.

The Death of the Eastern Pacific

Posted by silverngold @ 9:13 on March 4, 2015

The Death Of The Eastern Pacific

If the oceans die, we die. The seas are being assaulted from countless sources and directions. The damage has accumulated far past the breaking point, there will be no hiding the gravity of what is unfolding for much longer. The power structure will then become more dangerous than ever. Governments and mainstream media are not giving any significant coverage on the extremely rapid ocean die-off. What part has climate engineering played in this cataclysm? Plenty. Geoengineering over the Eastern Pacific (which is off the west coast of the US) is constant, satellite imagery confirms this fact. In addition to solar radiation management (SRM), ocean fertilization is likely also being carried out as part of the geoengineering programs. Ocean fertilization has many decimating effects including the creation of low oxygen “dead zones” which are rapidly increasing and expanding. Ocean acidity is fueled due to the Co2 absorption that is forced by the fertilization process. Upper level wind patterns are being radically altered by the ongoing climate engineering. This in turn alters ocean currents, this factor is contributing to the continued massive heat build up in the Eastern Pacific as the long expected and predicted el nino has not been allowed to develop. The heat stays bottled up in the seas with dire consequences. Climate engineering is also shredding the ozone layerwhich exposes plankton to deadly levels of UV radiation. Global plankton populations are crashing which means the foundation of the food chain is crumbling.
Climate engineering is nothing short of an all out assault on the biosphere and it is certainly a major factor in the shocking die-off outlined in the article below. Get educated, arm yourself with credible data, and help to sound the alarm.

ADP Employment Drops, Misses; Zandi Admits “Jobs Growth Slowing”

Tyler Durden’s pictureSubmitted by Tyler Durden on 03/04/2015 08:24 -0500

Another day, another missed data point. ADP Employment data shows 212k jobs added in February, which modestly missed expectations of 219k and is the weakest monthly gain in 6 months. This despite a strong prior revision, pushing the January number up from 213K to 250K to catch up to the BLS runrate. Despite the miss, that showed large businesses adding by far the fewest jobs, Mark Zandi as usual remains optimistic: “jobs growth is strong but slowing,” and expects the economy “will return to full employment by mid-2016.”

Schäuble-Karikatur

Animosity in Greece toward German officials has been apparent in recent weeks. A cartoon that ran in the Greek leftist newspaper Avgi, or “The Dawn,” last week featured a caricature of Schäuble with the captions, “We insist on soap from your fat” and “we are discussing fertilizer from your ashes.” Schäuble is depicted wearing a Nazi uniform and the references are clearly to the Holocaust.

A post from a friend that is a profession stock broker and investor< basically Gold bugs are fools that’ll never make money

Posted by eeos @ 7:49 on March 4, 2015

Written by Keith Weiner

My thoughts on that Rickards piece:

– I am not a fan of quantity analysis. Take a measure (real or imagined) of macroeconomic aggregate A. Take a measure of B. Now divide A into B. If that is supposed to tell you something, you may be surprised to learn how little it does tell you.
– The gold standard is not about the government owning or controlling a large quantity of gold.
– No matter how much gold the government of China owns, there is no mechanism to retroactively declare their purely paper yuan to be gold “backed”. It’s impossible to reverse cause and effect.
– In a gold standard, every paper bank note, every deposit, began life as a deposit of gold. The deposit is redeemable. Today, every dollar or yuan or euro began life as an irredeemable credit. You cannot turn paper into gold. No matter what quantity of gold the government owns.
– China has a seat, nothing to do with its gold, but with its economy. That and the fact that it’s a big creditor.
– “took the lid off gold” and “ended the price manipulation” — this is a fantastical allegation, not a fact. I have tons to debunk it.
– “this reset” <– a goldbug fantasy. Buy gold now because IT’S REALLY GONNA GO SKY HIGH!
– Gold does not go up, but the dollar can go down. Suppose the gold price hits $5000. That is not a profit. It is a collapse in the value of everyone’s life savings, and business capital. Gold owners will avoid that loss, which is good. But when they sell the gold, they pay 28% at the federal level plus state income tax and lose a third or more to taxes.
– China is vulnerable so the US needs to keep China happy? This logic is backwards.
– “if they have a mix of paper and gold, and we inflate the paper, they’ll make it up on the gold.” <– gold bug thinking right there. Like saying “If my stocks go down and my gold goes up, I am good.” Gold does not go anywhere. If you own a trillion dollars, that’s worth about 833M ounces. If the value of the dollar falls by 80%, you have just lost 667M ounces worth. Even if you own 100,000,000 ounces of the metal, that does not mitigate the loss.
– “That’s not speculation. It’s in the footnotes of the annual BIS report.” <– typical not just of gold bug writing, but conspiracy theory writing like 9/11. Paint a fantastical picture with unicorns and Holy Grails and Merlin himself casting spells… then point to a real source to prove some incidental point. Sure, the BIS is involved in gold deals when one central bank buys gold from another. Great. That does not support his story.
– “if we are transparent about the gold acquisition, the price will go up too quickly.” Is this article really about the monetary system? Or is it the gold bug infomercial on Why To Buy Gold Right Away? The gold bugs sit and think about three things. (1) I sure wish the gold price would go up so I can sell my gold, (2) someone must be keeping gold down, (3) what scenarios would destroy my enemies and make gold go to $10,000.
– “The point is that is that there is so much instability in the system with derivatives and leverage…” <– a non sequitur in a long series of non sequitur.

eeos- my friend posted keith’s article from his facebook handle. I wrote back to my friend and told him I’m still up 300 to 400% on the phiz side. Where’s my loss Keith? How’s come it’s legal to hit me with so many taxes? Who decided that? I’ll just hold until the rules change again
