The disappeared Air Algerie flight AH5017 has crashed in Niger after flying through violent storms, it has been confirmed.
Algerian television station Elnahar confirmed the plane went down due to bad weather and an Algerian aviation official had told Reuters flight AH5017 had crashed.
The region was badly affected by violent storms and it was earlier said the plane was rerouted while it was flying over Mali.

Jihadists in Iraq Order Women Undergo Genital Mutilation
(AFP) — Jihadists in Iraq have ordered that all women between the ages of 11 and 46 undergo female genital mutilation, a UN official said Thursday.
“It is a fatwa (or religious edict) of ISIS, we learnt this this morning,” said Jacqueline Badcock, the number two UN official in Iraq.
She was referring to the Islamic State, formerly known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) which took over large swathes of the country last month.

Seems like they’d want to use the 370 for something a little bigger as a false flag. Just sayin’

Well, most USD watchers focus on the Euro because it’s such a heavily weighted part of the index. IMHO what we should be watching is the Chinese Yuan and maybe to a lesser extent the Ruble. The Yuan is at its’ highest levels vs. the USD since March. Santelli has mentioned it twice now in the last two days.
So, we watch the Yuan and maybe Germany to see if they stay in the EU. Could be awhile though.

Exactly the opposite of whomever is postulating it was MH 370.
Wouldn’t be the first time sensastionalism was used for page hits.

Update: According to AP, the missing Algerian plane went down in central Mali, citing a U.N. representative, contradicting earlier reports that it crashed in Niger.
Not a day seems to pass in the past week without some airplane catastrophe: first over Ukriane, next over the South China Sea, now in western Africa over Mali where moments ago Air Algerie reported said that it had lost contact with one of its passenger aircraft carrying 116 people on board, nearly an hour after takeoff from Burkina Faso bound for Algiers. And what is most stunning is that just like in the MH17 case, the flight lost radio transmission shortly after it was ordered to change its course due to “poor weather.” According to an Air Algerie source “the plane was not far from the Algerian frontier when the crew was asked to make a detour because of poor visibility and to prevent the risk of collision with another aircraft on the Algiers-Bamako route. Contact was lost after the change of course.”

Indonesia to cut mineral export tax if miners pay smelter bond- official
The move will allow mining companies to restart exports even if they have yet to complete smelters that would allow them to process more ore on Indonesian soil.
“If you want to build a smelter then you’re eligible for a lower tariff for the concentrate export tax,” fiscal policy chief Andin Hadiyanto told Reuters, adding that no export tax would apply to finished metals.
The change comes six months after the government imposed a controversial escalating tax on shipments that brought copper exports to a halt. The tax was intended to force miners to develop smelters and mineral processing facilities and part of a government push to derive bigger returns from Indonesia’s mineral resources.
The new rate would be less than 10 percent, and scale down to zero as a firm’s smelter construction progresses, Hadiyanto said, while miners that did not have smelter projects in the works will remain subject to the escalating tax rate of up to 60 percent.

Just going to go with the simple black coffee today. Looks like it will be a steady drip diet in the gold market so nothing special or celebratory is required.
Winedoc – I hear you my friend. Sinclair has told privately many times that we will prevail, but it has been a very long time and the question is when. No one is getting upside direction right in pm’s these days as we are in full lockdown mode.

and that meant they had to get Gold down below 1300 for Mondays options expiry, before they all piss off. Yes Janet and Jamie all under control, Gold under 1300 and the SM at record Hi’s, so we’re off …..
I wonder if they invite the CFTC/SEC, or are they just left to watch porn on their PC’s on their lonesomes, while the scum get to live the dream and party with porn stars, while snorting barge loads of Boilivian marching powder and downing lakes of vintage champagne.

Can you imagine the powerhouse of German engineering improving Chinese manufacture with Russian energy?
Hasta la vista uncle buck.
Is that why Obama has his panties in a knot?
Of course your next Homeland’s existance will be better, after the adjustment. Just promise my family the adjustment won’t be New Clear (I used to hire a band New Clear Age) . Similar to New Deal but not really.

Euro 120? Hmm…seems it will go a lot lower than that if Willie is correct and Germany leaves the EU and starts doing business with the BRICS – specifically Russia and China. An awful lot of crosscurrents these days.
Only question is what pm’s will do.

I have no trouble visualizing an easy run to $2300 for gold in the time-line indicated on that chart, and then a run to much higher than that in the months and years ahead. Good stuff, and much appreciated. Equiz.
