Don’t worry about the environmentalists, they already peaked, along with all the other stupidity things like affirmative action DEI etc etc that started sixty years ago. It’s time to be happy.
I just heard from a friend
In southern Calif trying to sell her father’s house in a nice area with costly homes it’s been on the market for 3 1/2 years now. That’s unbelievable for LA in areas with less population. Except for some areas your better off selling affordable working class homes. They’re saying those houses right on the coast next to the ocean, environmentalist will pressure weak politicians and will make sure that they can’t build there anymore. Plus the want everything all electric so no power no cooking and cold showers and no heat no charging cars. Not enough electric to go around as is. Less they get the weak incompetent politicians and clueless activists out and get rid of them. Where are they when they want to build wind mills all along the coastal waters that will rust and have to be replaced every so many years and can’t dispose of the materials it’s made from and kill the whales migration path. They had a nice ocean view restaurant there it’s gone too.

Re your “The commies are the bankers, bureaucrats, and It’s ‘peak parasite’ right now.”
Thats good. Because in my view peak means its ending and going go into reverse. Like peak high tide or peak low tide. To me the tipping point peak was 9/11, I knew that day, the world economy was going to change. They attacked the global trade parasite class.
After that, my view was confirmed by the 2008 financial crisis, and after that, another sign of major reversal was Trump getting elected the first time.
Then after he magically lost reelection, the public saw four more years of a totally obnoxious fake US gov’t. So he finally got elected again with a landslide, which in my view, confirmed again, the major reversal is still intact.
In fact I was reading a magazine story in 2014 about the reversal of globalization. Its a very slow moving trend, exactly like we lost our independence in a slow moving trend.

The commies are the bankers, bureaucrats, and any other bozo in the parasite class I am not mentioning.
It’s ‘peak parasite’ right now.

Re your “The poor EU’ers are captive to the commies ” I heard a long time ago that Hitler hated communists, so I have to assume the communists took over the place. They even had influence on the USA according to Sen Joe McCarthy in the 1950s.

He’s a lunatic. Although maybe there wouldn’t get so much traffic if it wasn’t for globalists like him and open borders. Where are they going to put new roads when they can’t even make them now when needed , if they turn them into parks for the growing homeless population anyway? They don’t see their puppet zombies ” as in useless incompetents” and why their in that situation in the first place, are being purged left and right.
The commies are being commies …
… in Germany threatening to cancel the election if they don’t win.
The poor EU’ers are captive to the commies and will not get rid of them without some suffering sooner – or later (will be worse).
Other than that … mornin all.

Is the roof high enough to insulate the heck out of it from the inside?
I saw a short video of two men and a dog in a home surrounded by fire. I don’t know how they got out of that one without firemen and water or if they did. With power out and cell towers out looks they weren’t watching less some AI
Maya after what I saw in Hawaii I’d have on hand a few cross bows and zip lines in a emergency kit.

How can you tell the difference between such a rain storm and yr ‘mate’ Pele clearing it’s throat …..just checking
redneckokie1
The weather you have in Oklahoma is unreal…..a mate told me the other day, they had a thunder storm pass through, that ripped off the front of a building…that was built out of brick….and that was just a run of the mill thunder storm,,,,no tornado or anything really bad !!!!
RNO – Metal Roofs
Good for you! Suggest earplugs though if you have a hailstorm hammer your metal roof. When I have heavy rains here hammering mine, the roar drowns out the TV at max volume! 🙂
Insurance scam
The numbers in the fire insurance business are pretty simple. Out of all premium dollars, 40% go to pay claims and 60% go to administrative costs. Insurance premiums must go up double the future costs of claims.
Now the dirty little secrets. Insurance companies must keep a reserve/claims ratio. When that ratio gets out of balance, the insurance companies must reinsure their risks. These reinsurance companies take on risks from all over the country. A catastrophe loss can absorb the reserves of an insurance company very quickly and the reinsurance companies have to cough up enough money to cover claims.
Now for the dirty little questions. What are the insurance company’s reserves invested in ? Have they lost significant market value ? What are the reinsurance companies reserves invested in ? Market value ? How often have the reinsurance companies had to pay up lately for all the tornados, hurricanes, floods and wildfires ? Who will bail out the reinsurance companies?
It should be painfully obvious by now that insurance premiums are going to skyrocket from already unaffordable levels. We are all going to be paying those catastrophic premiums to reinsurance companies through local insurance companies.
In Oklahoma, 85% of homeowner claims are for hail roof damage. The other 15% is tornado and fire damage.

What can make it uninsurable is the likes of these clueless representative scammers aided by fake news bias media to get elected by people not using common sense like Newsom and that mayor in LA who don’t deserve their position or paycheck. I’m sure they were aware of what Newsom, Pelosi and their woke cronies did to San Francisco. Ties if streets with businesses boarded up. Might as well set fire. Pelosi was responsible for selling the water to a crony in central farmland where he raised the prices with no over sight and people lost their farms and created a dust bowl. They’re parasites. They made a perfect storm for multi disaster scenarios be crime, open borders, running out of water even to drink, floods, fires, endangering tax paying citizens and putting them at risk. Insurers aren’t stupid, saw it and and some pulled out. Now the fires are spreading to Brentwood and San Fernando Valley. The difference in brush fires compared to forest fires with falling trees and crackling infernos, this is it’s quieter, fast moving with the wind helping people think it’s wind and rain outside and it’s fire and sneaks up on them many barely escaping.
Insurance
Just been reading a substack by someone complaining he can’t get hurricane insurance and likening it to fire insurance in Cal., and pointing out that insurance companies are not allowed to cancel policies in the affected postcodes for one year.
Thinking about the cancellations, what a – pointless? – lunatic? – empty, limelight grabbing? – stupid? – I really don’t know, idea. Nobody will be renewing their policies if the house has burnt down. And if they had miraculously managed to rebuild within 12 months, it would be a new policy. If you are a lucky one and it hasn’t burnt down, it’s not gonna burn in the next couple of years now anyway. All aside from the fact that government shouldn’t be interfering in these matters.
Which leads into his initial problem, where he claims he is “a homeowner who can no longer obtain hurricane insurance”. Later on he talks about “uninsurable risk”. He gives a visual of the last 11 years of states where home insurance was unprofitable. The worst year was 2023 where in 18 states, insurers lost money. Well, that means that in the worst year, they made money in 32 states! And California only made the unprofitable list twice in 2017 and 2018. Although there does seem to be a bit of a Blue bias overall, Texas made it three times and Florida five. But, but, this is how insurance works! You lose in some places and at some times, and win in the others! If it was always profitable everywhere all the time, policy holders are being scammed, premiums are too high and in a competitive market cheaper players would come in.
So what is an uninsurable risk (maybe tourist trips to the Titanic in a fibreglass sardine tin would be one)? My experience with insurances might be out of date, but it used to be the case that there was no risk that someone, somewhere, wouldn’t take on. Sure, if you’re the little pig living in the straw house in the Caribbean 99% of insurers might decline, but somewhere you’d find someone who would assess the risk and give you a proposed premium, which you probably would not like. But, you wouldn’t be uninsurable. Very expensive does not equal uninsurable.

“I guess most Californians think”
Really?

It’s hard to believe it went this far. More than 20 dead as another one found just now being verified. Fires still blazing and winds to pick up tonight. They need a better disaster and rescue plan including for animals. These horses should of been mired out and somewhere to go right away. When one of my brothers barn got blown away with tornados coming through the neighbors came out and helped gather the horses and gave them shelter. Luckily none were hurt besides a few scrapes. In the city your on your own so should plan ahead of time. This is just ridiculous.
Both Newscum and Major should step down but they probably won’t. Throw the bums out but hope they don’t just replace them with more of the same, including Rino’s. This time I hope they listen to their experience and policy’s not their pronouns and if they even mention climate change a hard no.

Hard to believe Newsom is still governor! I guess most Californians think he was doing a good job.
