Loading ...even if the price of oil were cut in half tomorrow, it would probably take a year for gas (and heating oil) to come back down.
They are always quick to raise prices, but they are always really slow to bring prices back in.

Re heating Oil…dunno if u are the same but over here, I spoke to my supplier ystdy and she told…total panic, like they have never seen, phones ringing off the hook….prices have jumped from 69 p/litre to 109p/litre…but no prices held, they call u and say we can give u whatever the price is…but u can only have 500 litres..in 3 weeks…ie they will call u in @ 2 weeks and deliver 1 week later…..if u accept the price.
Then when I was putting petrol in my car today i thought…hang on if the petrol boys can keep the pumps running…how come the heating oil boys can’t…my guess is once everyones tanks are a fullish it will calm down….I hope…..still I have turned off my Oil fired heating and water and just have electric for water and a multi fuel stove, plus cooker keeping the kitchen warm….as my oil is running low …anyway total panic apparently …

Because of the huge profits, more and more stores and malls were opening all over. But after 1975 at the same time, all the consumer product jobs were getting outsourced. So the customer base prosperity gradually declined, as retail grew. So wealth absorbing retail, shot itself in the foot by farming out wealth creating factory jobs. That trend culminated in 2008. Everything is in reverse. Manufacturing is coming back. Long term its been a 100 plus year cycle of Learn, Unlearn, and Relearn the global system is going thru now.
So, turning 77 acres into 308 houses on 1/4 acre lots? and add 4 people to each house? 1200 plus people added to the population that need jobs and services? I think the 77 acres should be turned into an industrial park that creates things of value the jobs that produce wealth for others to live off of. Factories produce wealth, everyone else absorbs wealth. If you know what I mean. Thats why the country is broke. China et al got the wealth creating producing of things jobs, and we got left with the sales and service of their things (wealth absorbing overhead) jobs.
I think those hand signals are smarter than her brain!

It goes ex-dividend on 3/17 and pays out 3/29 – the theory is that it will rise going into the ex-dividend date.
It was worth taking a stab with 500 shares.
Once again, the pm shares continue to hold up relatively well. I’m stunned that the HUI hasn’t been slammed under 300 with gold taking a $100 hit. The shares are leading, every good run we’ve ever had has been led by the shares.
then the performance of their army in Ukraine would certainly give them reason to pause.
also looks like the longs in the SM don’t want to be holding stocks over the weekend.
I’m not afraid to hold pm’s and shares over the weekend. Which is the first time I actually feel that way in many, many moons.
I think the path to peace in Ukraine is going to be a hard slog … and the damages from the sanctions etc will last even longer. I don’t think the POG is in peril of declining much. JMO

At the Futures Market. Look at the heating oil chart. Production and consumption is generally stable and normal. I haven’t heard of any real supply shortage of physical oil.
More likely just a shortage or glut of buy and sell futures contracts. It’s like the news drives the “bets” on greed or fear to “vote” what the future price on a product priced in dollars might be in the future. Like cold weather coming to Fla might kill orange production and orange juice contracts prices go up, and the weather didn’t get there yet. Even the fake dollar value is voted on like a product and the government owns and produces “news”.

Sure seems that way. We’ve had a few people over the years that do what you say – showing up at inflection points.
Funny how they always come around when gold is down.
Don’t really know why they’d come here, it’s not like the sum total of our little group hold enough pm’s and shares to amount to much of anything that would matter to the price of the metals.
They’re taking the metals back down again, someone must have pushed the wrong button earlier.
BTW – the last appearance here which was full of doom, the HUI was 280 and immediately moved up to 320 – oops!

Weird, when I started typing this, gold was down $28 and silver down $.42 – Then in the blink of an eye, the losses were cut in half, now down $14 and $.21. Never see that happen to the upside but it just did this am.
Seems it’s almost a given anymore that if the SM is up, the next day it will be down and vice-versa.
So, 10 yr. @ 2.01%, USD down a bit, no real headwinds on that front.
he comes around during huge inflection points and tries to steam roll. Uses fear to push people out of positions. The sower of fear and doubt. Just like mountain of gold did. Toasted most likely if he really had any skin in the game
