I’ve been doing a little more question and answers on AI looking for some understandable reason for this madness…. I find Between 40 and $45 is the breakpoint with solar panel manufacturers where they started to find a substitute for silver paste in the manufacturing… Before the run-up silver was between five and 15% of the cost of a panel and when it got to $120, it became 30% cost of the panel… So now they are using copper paste and or copper coated with silver plate…. I asked between a scale of one to 10 how much of that compromise the panel and it said two… And then I asked if the manufacture compensated for the compromise panel in its price and they said no.. lol… I’m assuming there’s a lot of people connected more than we are that knew how much the demand side was gonna be hit by the solar industry and took actions accordingly…. I haven’t checked to see what percentage of manufacturers made the change, but I’m assuming like many things prices everything so probably most of them … We may have to wait a while for these panels to begin failing to read their rewards of their renewed interest in silver…
