Loading ...Because our beloved leader Albanese has decreed that any hatred towards islam is now a criminal offence. Galloping headlong down the European road towards national suicide. Once again, words are bastardised to mean something different – islamophobia literally means ‘fear of islam’, not hatred of islam. But, who cares about meanings, and what does ‘hatred’ mean anyway?
So I figured I’d better start to see what this islam, apparently the religion of peace, is all about, starting by reading the quran. I just started from the beginning, and in book two, The Cow (yes, that is what it is titled), verse 217 says
“They ask you ˹O Prophet˺ about fighting in the sacred months. Say, “Fighting during these months is a great sin. But hindering ˹others˺ from the Path of God, rejecting Him, and expelling the worshippers from the Sacred Mosque is ˹a˺ greater ˹sin˺ in the sight of God. For persecution is far worse than killing. And they will not stop fighting you until they turn you away from your faith—if they can. And whoever among you renounces their own faith and dies a disbeliever, their deeds will become void in this life and in the Hereafter. It is they who will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.”
So it is better to kill, than to be persecuted. Verse 218 says:
“Surely those who have believed, emigrated, and struggled in the Way of God—they can hope for God’s mercy. And God is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
Anyway, we’ll see where this journey goes. But here is a fundamental difference – Allah says kill the persecutors, Jesus says, rejoice in persecution for His sake, and bless your enemies. Seems clear so far which is the religion of peace …..
