Loading ...The tube is outside the building with one or both ends connected to the building. The tube is cooled by the water evaporating from the cloth. A fan blows air through the tube pushing the cooler air into the building. If both ends are connected the air gets progressively cooler.
A few years back we were camping and it was 106 in the shade. Just putting socks on the beer bottles and keeping them watered got the temp down to the low 70’s, which felt really cool in those conditions. Everybody was laughing their heads off – but they all drank the beer!
