with the Fed announcement. No one thinks they can raise rates into a crashing economy and on the back of smothering debt. I guess the SM will celebrate the news as always, but we can never know what pm’s will do. Silver looks pretty sick this am, gold on shaky ground as well. The dollar is slightly higher as always, and rates are up 2 bips, sitting right at the 5% mark.
I suppose I’d rather see the metals down going into the announcement and reverse higher afterward, than to see them up and get clobbered, but the paper boys will do what they’re going to do.
The economy and the world look like a big dumpster fire to me, and we’re heading into the weekend before our elections. Governments in Europe and the UK are telling the plebes to get their 3-day emergency kits ready. The US military is getting bases to be operationally sustainable 24/7 in the event that normal civilian services like the grid are unavailable to them.
And it’s Halloween… 🙂
What could possibly go wrong?
