Ray Dalio: “The debt problem is followed by devaluation of the currency.”

Every country with a debt problem said they would grow their way out of debt.

They all ended up devaluing their currencies.

Just like that

Iran Will ‘Immediately’ Return To MoU Deal If US Does, Pezeshkian Says, After Two Supertankers Struck In Hormuz

I’m wondering what good that will do if Iran is still shooting missiles and drones at tankers like they did the last time?

I’ve got some green from unlikely suspects. HL, AG, GFI.

Looks like Bessent is working on the bond market, 10 yr. now only down 1 bip and the dollar is heading toward flat.

I’m surprised the metals haven’t turned more though.

I’m sorry maddog

I guess I just don’t understand. If a market goes up for 29 days and gives half of it back in say, 8-10 days. It’s hard for me to see that being “good.”

If the market goes up for 29 days and gives 100% back regardless of time, I don’t understand why it’s even worth playing, whether it’s bullish or not.

I’m not disputing in any way what you’re saying or the methods, I imagine you’re spot on. Just my personal perspective.

We know how this slop usually goes, this is likely the 2nd of 3 big legs down, and then we’ll see. If we can turn back up here, then I think that would be pretty bullish. If we don’t, the selling will continue and be deeper and longer than we thought it possibly could be, it always is. Especially, God forbid, the SM actually has a correction.

At least right now, the shares are holding up a little better than I would have expected. Maybe the metals will come back some today.

BTW – GLD got above its 200 day, SLV never did. GDX has outperformed and got well above.

This is how the Sovereign Debt Crisis begins. There is no dramatic announcement from the White House admitting that the system has failed. Officials speak of liquidity, market functioning, resilience, and temporary operations while quietly expanding intervention behind the scenes. The Treasury has begun supporting the market for its own obligations because it cannot permit investors to price US government debt without supervision. Once government must protect its debt from the market, the question is no longer whether there is a problem. The question becomes how long they can conceal it.

A jobs number this Friday, and a long weekend. Same shenanigans from the manipulators.

Getting even closer to the end game….

Smart move IMO

have a little patience here….28 days up and so far only 6 days down and not even a 50 % retracment…..this is a 2nd wave dn and those can in theory retrace nearly 100 % and still be bullish.

That said why we track the SM and an increase in military activity in Iran is bearish, I will never understand.

Ha! Taxes Cpi is rigged. Doesn’t include food fuel and taxes. Printing money is frankly counterfeiting. First about 18 minutes is trustworthiness of banks.Further on,  between 1970 to 1980 the purchasing power of the dollar declined 75%  Those of us around then realized what happened to the purchasing power of gold and silver particularly gold that wasn’t being cornered by the Hunts, although now by manufacturing.

Morning maddog – so much for yesterday’s hopeful trading

Who should be panicking about rates? Turns out it’s anyone who holds gold and silver!

Rates up 4 bips, but might as well be up another 2%. PM’s getting creamed.

This will destroy the charts. Same old rules, there’s never an upside gap that won’t be filled in the pm market. $70 silver and $4600 were just too much for the metals to bear. Apparently $65 silver is too much for silver to bear. GDX all the way back to $80 looks probable.

One more time, pm’s save us from nothing. Crimex and shorts will have a field day today, especially with a weak SM.

Anyone would think that it is only the US that has a debt problem, wheras in fact rates are exploding everywhere else as US rates have yet to break higher …..they probably will , This is a glorious example of how the Globalists via their tame media manipulate the truth into lies and lies into the truth.
