Assuming he is talking about price inflation, he is patently wrong. Even DJT disagrees with him, which is why he is removing tariffs on beef, because it will reduce prices by 25%. It’s not the monetary value of the tariff that increases prices, but the supply shortage that pushes the prices up. Somehow DJT seemed to think that imposing beef tariffs would double the US herd overnight. Just wait to see how much lumber prices will skyrocket with new tariffs on Canada.
