Hope you still have your CB radio.

Lots of batteries and or rechargable batteries solar powered battery chargers. They have these multi.power sources lanterns now you can charge a phone with but better for light that can charge on a USB cord even in your cars,  solar and a wind up for a minute or two to give you nhours of light you can keep by your bed if it comes at night. Case it last longer than your generator. Some of those car chargers with air for the tires have ports that can charge phones and ipads 14 or more times. Could be a busy hurricane season plus more than that.

For the 2026 hurricane season (June 1 through November 30), NOAA’s Central Pacific Hurricane Center is predicting an above-normal season with 5 to 13 total tropical cyclones (which include tropical depressions, tropical storms, and hurricanes) expected across the Central Pacific basin. [123]
Key Outlook Details
    • Activity Level: Above-normal (70% chance), fueled by developing El Niño conditions that provide warmer sea-surface temperatures and weaker wind shear. [12]
    • Seasonal Baseline: A typical, near-normal season in the Central Pacific usually sees only 4 or 5 tropical cyclones. [1]
    • Direct Impacts: Forecasters emphasize that the predicted range accounts for storms forming across the broader basin rather than direct landfalls; however, active El Niño patterns increase the overall threat level and potential tracking proximity to the Hawaiian Islands.
    • During El Niño years, Hawaii faces an elevated risk of severe Central Pacific hurricanes, prolonged droughts, and destructive wildfires. Historic impacts include devastating storms like Hurricane Iwa in 1982 and Hurricane Iniki in 1992. Residents should maintain a 14-day supply of food and water, secure outdoor items, and monitor emergency channels. [1234]
