Maya Crack kills lol

Until now I heard yeas ago that steam served a purpose to keeps them warm.
I figured it would be some yellow color in it and have a sulphur smell. From what you described it sounds dangerous enough to evacuate or get ready too. Just seeing a big crack like that with steam coming out looks dangerous.

A glimmer of light

I sure wouldn’t want to be living anywhere near that crack! How far away is a hellish amount of lava? not far. … and when is it coming to visit?

As I remember you don’t live in one of the more dangerous zones on your island. That’s muy bueno!

I have experience living on a volcano, but I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near that crack in Iceland.  That volcano is dangerously explosive.  Reminds me of the crack that appeared in Leilani Estates just five miles away from me in 2018.  It was soon spewing lava.    Here, the definition of “Lava Zone 1” is exactly:  ‘May erupt at any time’.  The area has craters from 1955 and 1960.  I can still see the tearful homeowner on TV after her backyard broke open and lava consumed her home.  “Well we knew it was Lava Zone 1, but we never thought THIS would happen”, she sobbed.   Cognitive dissonance at it’s finest!

Hawaii is a shield volcano that is relatively tame and overflows from time to time.  Iceland, on the other hand, is a fiercely explosive subduction volcano at the juncture of major crustal faults.  And it looks ready to blow… hard.

Yah I know the rest of that story. There used to be a lot of manufacturers and factory’s here too. The illegals came in did the less or unskilled less pay work how it started that got less because they’d work for less. They did that in agriculture too. . But the difference was American had one income less the mother worked but the illegals from south of the border were getting supplemented with welfare of some kind and food stamps. The Americans were on a typical budget from that era and saving green stamps.

We’ve reached the end of the line. There’s no bigger Bubble waiting in the wings for post-government finance Bubble reflation.

Posted by Richard640 @ 7:41 on November 14, 2023
We’ve reached the end of the line. There’s no bigger Bubble waiting in the wings for post-government finance Bubble reflation. This ensures that Bubble collapse comes with momentous consequences. And these risks today place tremendous pressure on fiscal and monetary policymakers to perpetuate the excess necessary to hold Bubble collapse at bay.
Further core Bubble theory bears rehashing. A bubble financed by an expansion of high-risk credit (i.e., junk bonds) poses minimal systemic risk. Why? Because such a bubble will be relatively short-lived. When things start to get crazy, the holders of junk debt will invariably reach their risk tolerance threshold. “I’ve got enough. No more junk!” And this will bring the bubble to its conclusion before it has had years to inflict deep structural damage.

Bubbles fueled by money-like instruments function altogether differently. Money is something we trust for its attributes of safety and liquidity. Unlike junk debt, there’s no point where we say “No thanks. I’ve got enough money.” And it’s this insatiable demand that creates the ultimate fuel for protracted bubbles and deep structural maladjustment. Incredibly, this historic Bubble – inflating at the heart of system finance – is now into its 15th year.

From a purely analytical standpoint, it’s all fascinating. Bubble analysis was some years ago completely discredited. Stock market “investors” are convinced nothing can get in the way of equities prices invariably marching ever higher. There’s been some bond market pain, but fears of runaway deficits and a crisis of confidence have not materialized.
