That is one I always watch……so far the scum have not been able to seriously mess with it……The word is the Saudi’s need it near $ 100 …to pay for their domestic spending and the rest of OPEC would not complain.

Metals hanging, but shares kinda weak and seem to be sort of in line with the SM. DOW up 40 pts.. DOW closing up today makes it 13 straight days. Longest since 1987. We know what happened then, the SM crashed 25% in Oct. 1987. I almost think the SM is crash proof now, thanks to Aladdin.

My small and mid-cap silver shares are performing better than the gold shares.

Since we didn’t really blast off, maybe we won’t spend the next two days getting crushed. Big “maybe” though.

Maybe Powell is talking a little less hawkish.

Course the SM is leading.

Reaction for everything is sort of muted.

didn’t realize yesterday it was up near $80 a barrel. Our local gas is now $3.69 a gallon, up $.40 over the last few weeks.

Always funny how that happens. As oil rises, gasoline prices rise much faster. When they come down, it takes forever for gasoline to come back with it. Greed.

As a side note, the RSI on the DOW is up around 75. We’ve seen RSI’s stay elevated for a long time when it comes to the SM though.

Whether it is or not, that’s what we’re getting. USD down a bit after a reversal yesterday which completely filled the gap. Who’s says T/A doesn’t work? OOPS, I guess that was me! We’ll see if it works after the Fed meeting.

The copper shares are giving some back this am, pm shares flat and probably will be for most of the day.

At this point, I’m not sure the Fed is relevant anymore, and the pm reactions are almost always the same. If we rally after the meeting, they’ll take the gains back either tomorrow or Friday. If we don’t rally, we’ll probably just get hit for a couple days.

We’re still teetering on the edge, and in the background is a buttload of short contracts in silver.

Shares are the key IMHO.
