BTW I think it runs in family’s cus my youngest daughter who started learning to swim from her dad as a baby. My case it was just if I was in the mood to go but could get addicting. Her dad USMC grew up in Hawaii where his dad was stationed,
When she was 11 she wanted to either do martial arts or swimming. First I took her to the college where the kids practiced for competitions. The instructor was iffy and said well the kids were older more advanced right now for a beginner. He said something about trying her out and put her with two of his best swimmers. Asked if she could swim the length of the Olympic pool and back. Yep Well this instructor yaw just dropped.
She didn’t even know she was racing the other two and just swam normally taught by her dad and was there and back by the time his two best swimmers got to the other side. I wondered just how good this guy was? I told him she’s deciding between this and martial arts and I can’t afford both. He was still shook up and said well maybe I could get her a scholarship. She decided to pass and did martial arts her dad also did when he was in Hawaii. So in a few yrs. she was a assistant instructor on some forms and other little chores like the phones and learned from a grand master for free.
Still the males should not be competing with them just because they can’t beat the best of their own gender.
