Stopping it makes sense, but the prize is far too valuable and actually creating it is far too easy, in comparison to making Nukes, say……some bad actor is bound sure to build it…it might make more sense to try and make a ‘good’ AI, to ensure u can defeat the bad one…..
what is sure is that it could get messy and living through it’s early stages will be wild .
