As for the so called slowing economy, I think they are full of crap and trying to jaw bone and mentally create a slowing economy to slow inflation. Meanwhile they may be under estimating the wherewithal of millions of people making good money and not reporting it for taxes.
And the bozo Powell kept saying how they have been maintaining a stable value dollar? Wait I gotta put my rubber boots on. After WW II my father came home and in 1945, and bought the house up the street from me, for $5,000.
That house today is $500,000 or 100 times more “stable value”? paper money to buy it. My uncle Charlie bought a new cheap model 1950 Chevy it was $1,000. Heavy gauge premium US made steel. Today that cheap Chevy is probably $50,000 with a NINE 9 speed transmission? and who the HELL wants it?
